I'd even go a step further and say "it's a GM"... soooooo

or cars in general, they don't keep value. so might as well do whatever with it you want, it's not a classic, it's a pile of plastic

yeah but gm cars in general are horrible for holding any value. certain brands hold value better..

Did a little work on my car today, but good news to this point. Changed the oil out and saw no metal shavings anywhere. Filled her up with Royal Purple and...



I'm wondering if I put 5w20 in or something last time. But I'm going to put some miles on her and hope it keeps this up.

Do you let the car warm up before you drive?

Yeah I did. Hot idle, the car is at 35psi instead of 18-20psi it was last time. Under throttle it comes up to 50ish psi where it used to 35ish under throttle when hot.

Should I say, on a cold start, I wait to move until the air system goes off. I had already driven the car before the oil change, so it was an actual cold start in this picture.

Yean i notice the temp needle was under 160 which made me think it was a cold drive, or your temp gauge wasnt working.

Yeah, I'd say you need some more accurate gauges or scan data. Have to make sure what the actual temps and pressures are before you can justify being worried about oil pressure.
