when this thread loaded it loaded the pic so it looked like the bottle was floating..so when are you going to come out here and do my car.. i keep getting stuck working friday's ( i work 4 10hr days) and then the damn grass keeps growing so i haven't had time to use the megs 105 and 205 i got..

i did a quick try with the 105 on my fender and by hand it took the residual hairline scratches out.. no way in hell am i doing the whole car by hand..

I might take you up on that

What you should do is have a seminar, where you get a few people to come over and contribute a small fee. Then everybody does the detailing, and vote on who's the shiniest.

Of course, you gotta provide the burgers, pizza, and whatever.....

well the plan is clear across the country to portland or just outside that.. there's a couple of drag strips in and outside portland so when i get my crap settled and back into that i'm covered..

not long ago i bought the megs 105&205 compounds and not long before that i picked up some stuff from the rag company..

well i still haven't planned a route was just going by google maps..it gives a couple of routes.. the route way at the top is a train route..

did a direct link sinc the pic is probably huge.. i'd be willing to detour a little bit to see a few of you along the way.. Sam where in OK are you
http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h5...Untitled_2.png

i either want to get an el camino or a caprice wagon 86-90.. then toss maybe a blow big block or a cummins or duramax in it..which ever will fit..

I've seen people that used an APC to clean the trim and 303 to coat and protect. Figured I'd give her a shot as I need a good trim cleaner. I'll let you know!

If I had a nickel for everytime I'd been told not to touch paint on a car, with even my finger, let alone BOXES.... I'd never of had to work a day in my life. Common sense, meet most people, most people, common sense.

I would go through North/South Dakota and Wyoming personally, speed limit is 80mph out that way

If the BBC will fit, the cummins or duramax will fit too

That is a completely uncalled for, you don't leave tortilla's sitting out to get warm!

The black plastic trim I have just used my Meg's Natural Shine protectant It is for Vinyl, rubber, and plastic. It works great and I just need to apply once a year to keep the trim looking brand new

iirc that was one of the routes google maps gave me.. next year i'm planning a vacation/scouting trip out that way to check things out..

the cummins is probably longer since it's a straight 6 vs the other 2..i mean hell if a BBC will fit then anything should be game.. duramax or cummins i'm not biased towards either one..i've always had a soft spot for big block chevy's but then again i've got a thing for diesels..

the car won't happen till i land in my final destination..plus i'm sure i can find some rust free shell out there.

Here's an update for everyone. I decided to give the Aerospace 303 a shot. So here we go.

Difficult to see in this picture, but the windshield trim was badly faded.

First things first. I used a hog haired brush with Chemical Guys APC diluted 4:1. Spray and agitate.

Spray off with water and let dry. You have to use the product sparingly. Due to the difficult spot of this trim piece, I just applied to the rag and worked in sections. All in all, came out pretty well.

Well as you guys saw with my hood scratches, I decided to break out the pads and go to work.

Can't really see, but this is before.

After 101 and orange. Pardon the dust, it was dusting like a mother...
[

After 205 and white.

Finished up with Griots sealant and Colinite.

Not bad for 18 year old paint.
