New custom exhaust system

Ok, I finally did it!

Here's the shopping list:
2 Borla Pro XL's (2.25")
2 Borla Dual Intercooled tips
Catco 2.25" High-flow Cat
Mantapart ported HO manifold w/ big bore downpipe

All piping is 2.25" and mandrel bent up to the Y-pipe... doesn't really need perfect bends after the split. Mufflex in NJ did all the custom fabrication/install.

Only picked it up tonight...and love it. It's deep, loud, and fast!

Looks good, can you get a pic from farther away? How much did the setup run you? How was the performance gains? Sorry for all the questions, just wondering.

Yea, I need to get some more pics tomorrow... too dark now. The setup ran alot... about $1,300 in all. (which is why it took me more than a year to do) The butt-dyno™ sez I gained alot, especially in mid-rpm's. Looks like I'll be hitting the track tomorrow night to find out.

Rough parts breakdown...
manifold = 285 (got money off for core return that I found at junkyard)
cat = 60
Borla mufflers = 75 / piece (very good deal I got)
Tips = almost $300 for both

Yea, it was an expensive rig... but the gains are there. I put alot of research into the system, and went for all top of the line parts... I did not spare anything for expense.

Damn rain... I really wanted to hit the track tonight.

No. There is no bolt-on "kit" for anything 98 & older. I bought individual parts and had a shop make all the piping from scratch.

It sounds great! Deep and mellow at idle, deep rumble at low RPM, loud and deep mid RPM, really loud at high RPM. I'm very happy with the sound... sounds great all around. Truthfully, I've never heard any 4 banger sound as good. Only thing I don't like... it's a bit raspy at mid RPM until the car warms up.

I'll have to get some sound clips up soon.

I was playing w/ my G-tech Pro on Fri night. I won't post times yet, as I wanna hit a real track first... not to mention my runs were on wet pavement, had 3/4 tank & subs in. But... I will say that I already reached my improvement goal.
