Arrow Malibu Maxx SS

Anyone know if they are really doing this? If so, same engine as in the new GA?

would people buy it??? To me, the design looks weird. IMO, just like the 2004 Malibu Sedan, it's terrible.

I'd buy it over the GA, but the GTP still exsists abnd has been improved.... wait a minute... the GA and Malibu will have a larger engine than the Grand Prix.....

When is the next Prix body change due? '07? I would think that they wouldn't put a bigger engine in the GA than GP, and I've also heard rumors of a V8 in the next Prix.

2004 is the next body style for the Grand Prix and is avalable now.

If the Malubu Maxx SS makes it out in 05 or 06 it will have a larger engine than the Grand Prix.

That Grand prix is just a refresh car. It's not all-new.

UGLY!!! I would not waste my money on a design like this. Absolutely not.

Look at the rear end. I don't like it.

That's like saying the 99 Grand Am is a refresh over the 98 Grand Am. Almost nothing is "all new".

It is indeed a body change.

It does have some interesting features like rear audio, DVD video and rear skylight.

But why would I want to drive something that's ugly??? This does nothing for me. I like performance, but I also like something that has good looks at the same time. GM could do much better. The previous malibu looks better than this.

nope. The 96-98 Grand am is a refresh over the 92-95 Grand am. Just like the Previous Nissan Maxima (2000-2003) is a refresh over the 1995-1999 models. That's why Nissan released an all-new Maxima just after three years of the Previous Maxima's release. Because it was just an update.

You are indeed wrong.

The new Grand Prix has a different body style and interior, therfore it is a new body style and not just a refresh. It is considered as the next generation and next body style... take a look ath eth 97-03 and then look at the 04... if you can't see that the body style has changed then.....

According to your theory the Grand Prix has only been "refresshed" since 92. It was a W body then just as it is now... so is it the same body style as then?

Maxima has the same body style as it ever has (1999) until 2004, but just because it has the same engine in 2004 as in 2003 doesn't mean it's just a refresh, the body is different.

That is the great thing about America, at least will all have many positive things going for us. We all have opportunity, we all have choses and we all can express our opinions.
Not everyone is looking for their dream vehicle, some people find that they purchase items that fulfill their everyday needs and not necessarily their desires.

The body may be slightly different, but it's the same car. It has new electronics, features, revised engine, and a new interior, but it still rides on the same W-body platform the '97- '03 rides on.

Off topic.
But... the current generation (04) and previous generation (97-03) GTP could fullfill my needs and desires...

I have to buy one again! Perhaps the Malibu SS for my leadfoot dear wife.
