I saw a turbo grandam

I'm not dumb.. and all my friends were there. I saw a turbo charged 3.4 99-03 red grandam GT. I was in streamwood by Value City.. People are telling me there are no turbos made for our cars...coud this guy have made his own?..

PontiacGT2K.. I know Dom.. and I love his GTP.. I live in his subdivision. He is gonna help me with my car this summer..

so yeah, good thought on seeing a GTP, but it was a grandam.. turbo grandam is unheard of???

because everybody else on here claims, the only way to get the sound of a bov, is to have a turbo. I believe you 99StudlyGT. I just need to know if it was custom or what. I hope you can find out

Me and about 5 people heard a whine.. then a ppppssst.. we looked over, and it was a grandam.. than it took off, and was blowing off after every shift.. accompanied by the distinct whine..

I dont know, people on this site seem to know everything.. but if there was a turbo out.. i would like to see it for sale. Somehow that guy got a hold of one, and i almost creamed my pants when i heard it....

it very possible he did a custom instal. my alternator is getting ready to go so i get alittle whine and it sounds real cool but no blowoff.

well i do know that there was a red GAGT at ITS turbo, its done now, i know the guys from MI but its possible he was at a show near by..

dude wtf are u talking about...this place has totaly done a transformation in the last 6 months, and working with the owner made me find out how much these guys have changed...before yeah i wouldnt take my car there for nothing, but as of now seeing how they have gotten better suppliers, they got a deal with jegs, and summit racing to sell there shizt though them, they gotta be good cause summit and jegs wouldnt sell crappy products that dont work, also they now have better welders(no more shizzy welding jobs) and considering there they ONLY place that makes a turbo for the GA, i wouldnt complain

im talking about like suring up the bottom end, getting a non-overlap cam and other preventitive maintainance in coordinance with the turbo.

Not knocking the guys, just saying i hope they did a little more work than the first one.

Well they might be the only kit people but there are some custom places that can do the same too. Just a matter of $$ like everything else is.

Yeah, I dont think this guys turbo is fake.. I hope to see him again, and if I learn anything new, ill post.. but there is no readily available turbo for the 3.4?..??

Coulda been the RSM supercharger....that thing's very popular,and has a BOV. Doesn't sound exactly like a turbo, but it does have a BOV. I just don't see why someone would build a custom turbo (its kit isn't shipping yet) when RSM is already built...

I live in dom's subdivision too...who the **** are you?!
