Well yes I run a Supercharger and Nitrous, but I am no expert. I will gladly try and answer any of your questions. I know lots of people here that run N2O, and I will call on them to help me out. O.K......Adam
Thanks....SPAZ....!!!!!!!!!

You have nx right?
What shot do you run? Any tranny problems? I'm pushing my car up there with nitrous and I'm quite worried about the tranny. we need a company to do a good up grade for lesss than what level 10 wants. also herd the first few trannies they did for the GP guys totally flopped! ![]() |

2) I'll never tell........... 3) Not really.....I mean that I will not speak for everyone, but my trans is effected by the amount of air flow I cram into the motor. With a stock MAF my tranny will be back to normal, maybe an aftermarket one will work. 4) Well botlfed runs a 125 shot ( I'm pretty sure ) and his tranny seems to be fine. 5) Ya GM needs to make a cheap direct fit tranny that will hold like 450 hp.........Nice thought ha .......ok I'm done pipe dreaming. *** Like I said I can double or even triple my shot if I was man enough. But that would be just plain foolish for me to triple it... ![]()

Ok, I have some really basic questions. You guys have a throttle-activated "sprayer"? Turns on when its a WOT? Or do you have "buttons"? Do you spray in each gear 1, 2, and 3? Do you spray through the gears (ie in between 2 and 3)? I'm debating getting a nx setup for next season, these are just some questions I've wondered about...

Well for a s/c car throttle activated or button wouldn't matter anyway, because you can't use the nitrous in 1st gear with a supercharged car. The only possible way is to run a progressive controller.REMEMBER what i just said is forSUPERCHARGED cars only. For a car that is not supercharged i would spray it right off the line for 10sec or a MAX of 15sec, but would never go past that. I ONLY spray in 2nd and 3rd gear, because in 1st gear my car goes right past it's 6,200 rpm shiftpoint and it redlines before the tranny will even shift......the whole car shuts down and it feels like something just broke.. ![]()

... so you spray in 2nd for like 4 or 5 seconds, turn it off, then spray in 3rd for like 3 seconds?

heh I see lots of myths here.... back when I was sprayin my old 94.... about 3 or 4 years ago I was hosing it from the time the lights dropped til the traps.... for hook... drag radials.... as for particulars, back then there werent any goodies for these engines, ran stock fuel pressure all I did was change the plugs COPPER PLUGS!!!!!!!! I think they were delco R42LTSM's 2 heat ranges colder than the factory 44's gapped down to .040" ran the fuel jet one size larger....

I had nothing but a mut system, nitrous works and NOS solenoids few different bottle, the nitrous works single fogger nozzle.... right now I wouldnt recommend anything other than a NX universal EFI system.... obviously wet. As for computerized... its all crap, more things to go wrong. and for the powerlevels these engines can take, a progressive is a waste of money that will do nothing more than beat your solenoids up

Plugs
I got a stupid question guys. I'm gonna be buying a NX setup soon for my 98 3100, and I was hoping you guys could tell me what plugs you're running, because I am starting to get confused about what plugs to use with nitrous. From what I gather so far, platinum and iridium are bad, and you need 2 heat ranges colder. I currently have NGK iridiums from parts for your car, so I assume I gotta change them. Also, I was windering if the ZEX performance plugs would be good for our cars. Also, do you guys have to change your plugs a lot since you have been juicing? Thanks for any info you guys can give me.

You need the NGK-TR6 plugs, and they are very cheap...

quick question... why not spray in 1st gear after, say, 3,000 rpms? My only thought would be that the revs would raise too quickly and you would hit the rev limiter -- fuel shut off -- lean condition + N2O = boom... am I correct?

Apparently traction is the problem.. you spray in 1st coupled with the blower, you are just gonna sit there and spin
