That intercooler pipe hangs a little low though. What are the performance gains from this set up adn will it be commercially available?

What are the specs, eg type of turbo etc.

This is what I remember from the last thread...

The intercooler will be higher on the production model
They're not finished tweaking it yet os they dont know the exact performance gains
yes it will be commercially available

Didn't they expect like around 420 hp with the stage 2, but a new tranny is highly recommended?

They ran the 1/4 but the turbo busted like halfway down the track (I think). The time was still respectable though. I don't think they ever got around to dyno-ing it when the old post was up, but maybe since then they have done it.

Hey everyone, I'm back, we decided to go with full production everything on my car so we have been down for a little while. They are currently busy trying to get two Mustangs ready for this weekend but once they get back they are going to make the flanges and piping that they need for the production turbo kit. This means that the turbo on my car will be a toned down, as in not turning the full potential of the stage 2 kit, full production turbo kit.

1/4 mile time was 15.3 with problems with piping and we found out the center section was worse than we thought. It was also about 95 degrees and 90% humidity, untuned at 6 lbs of boost. Out 1/8 mile times were actually in the 13.8-13.9 bracket. We beat two DSM Eclipses and had davidscott at half track and a V8 at half track.

We are projected to be back on the road with the turbo tuned in about two weeks or so, I want to run it with the waste gate open since we have been down, just to get some oil through the turbo and the engine. I will post dyno #'s and 1/4 mile times ASAP, I promise.

ohpse, what state is the development in right now? Have you gotten the kinks worked out of the GN Turbo, or are you on a T-3 or 4 yet? Any ETA's on the next benchmark dyno or track run?

I guess you should try and push for the T to be tuned well enough for some solid track runs before the end of the season! You need to hit mid-14's (even at your altitude) to make a statement, I am sure that with the right tuning that will be acheivable.

we should have some solid times here in the next couple of weeks, the season is still active right now. We are anticpating good numbers once we get tuned, esp with the figures when we were untuned.

I am going to the production kit, away from the GN turbo and the IC with the pipes hanging low. That way we can eliminate the pipe fears that everyone has, including myself!!!

ETA on the dyno is Sept 11 with a track run on Sept 12

Joe, this is the ITS Turbo kit. The one we had at GAP this year.

Just to keep everyone informed, we are going to have everything back together by the end of this week, we took today and Monday off for holiday. I am still optimistic about a track run on the 12th, tuned and everything.

I also saw something sweet this weekend. A 1988 Grand Am GT, 2.0L turbo charged!! Straight out of the factory with a turbo on a GA. I guess I can still claim the only turbo charged SE right? The turbo looked a little small, but still cool none the less. The owner kept up the car and it was in good order, body and engine wise, I didn't ask for a ride in it.
