Navigation Pictures BEWARE 56K

Vintalage, this pictures are basically for you Just got the GPS antenna and decided to take pictures. Unforunately, the navigation still doesn't work. The connectors from the antenna to the back of the radio are different. Every time navigation starts, it wants to start out at the white house. Anyways, here are the pictures. If you're not interested in the radio anymore, I think I will just put it on ebay.

The unit itself has all the same plugs as my factory radio. Unfortunately, I still haven't figured out how to get the navigation to work.

It fits great, bolts right in and all. I paid $450 for the unit and now $75 for the GPS antenna. The antenna and the back of the radio have different connectors. I don't know if I'm still missing something or what. The navigation works, it just doesn't track the car moving on the map.

LOL PACE, I'm selling this navigation unit. I have the head unit and the antenna, but I cannot figure out how to make it work. The map and everything shows up, just doesn't track the car as its moving. The part # for the head unit is 10348805. The one that I have is out of a Buick Rendezvous. If you go to http://www.gm.com/vc/story/chapter3/dvd.htm there is a list of all the GM vehicles that you can get this unit in. Vintalage wanted to buy this, but I don't know if he still wants to, due to the navigation not completely working.

From what I have read you need the box that goes in the trunk.....Without it the GPS will not work....How much are you looking to get for it?

Also, How did you get a pontiac logo on the screen of a Buick GPS system?

Yeah I was just reading at cadillac forums and I think youre right about the box in the trunk. I paid $450 for the unit and $75 for the antenna. $525? The Pontiac screen comes on automatically. The one I have isn't from a cadillac, its out of a Rendezvous. I went to the dealership the other day and looked at a new Rainier that had this navigation unit and it said Buick when it turned on. I'm guessing they are all the same, including the one they use in vibe (pontiac) so I'm sure thats where it gets the logo from.

Yep. I don't know why . I'm guessing because the vibe is basically a toyota matrix, and it has the navigation option? who knows

I went to pontiac.com and I don't see the option of GPS on the vibe. You have a PM....Lets talk.

Yeah, i'm buying it. What I believe it's missing is the gyro. The unit knows what kind of car it's in. That's how it knows what start-up screen to display.
