F*ckin' Kids

Well, I've had my new GAGT for a week and the f'ing kids egged it, which left two marks on the paint. I polished the car yesterday and it remains the same. I also tried bug & tar and cleaner wax... nothing.

Any recommendations?

I don't know about that clay bar stuff. I would hate to order it and I only use it once. Is there something else?

its worth it. You can use it on the whole car again in the spring.

If your egg marks are like mine then it's the eggshell that actually chipped the paint.

Could a detailer get the marks out?

if they are "marks" and not chips... a detailer can probably buff the marks out.

hey manruss go to autozone or walmart and get stuff in a yellow bottle called KIT scrach out. Its awesome stuff and It should get it out depending on how bad the chips are, if any.

Now, you need to put a layer of wax on your car or two so if this happens again it will wash right off, the wax will protect your paint unless they throw it hard enough and it actually chips the paint. And id be killing me some kids.

On a side note, someone tried to vandalize my car the other night but realize they couldnt get to it so they vandalized my neighbors truck instead and drew a nazi sign in his window screen. ****ing idiots.

Hey dude ... >>

Is there anyway that you could snap a quick picture of the "marks" from the eggs and post it? THat would help everyone tell you whether or not you could get them off... Also, what color is your car? I hope NOT black, that would be the WORST to get off of... Anyways, let me know.

I used the Meguire's 3 Step on my egged up truck and it worked very well. Had to do step 1 twice w/ a little help from a buffer.

My car was egged from about 4 feet away this summer and the shell left a whole series of chips in the door that were about 2 inches across and looked like a dartboard. I used scratch remover, a buffer and could still not get rid of them completely. My GAGT is black so it shows up even worse. Bought some Color Cure black wax and crayon from Turtle Wax. This hides it well for a couple of washings then it has to be done again. I am going to get a professional detailing in spring to see if I can get rid of it.

you might want to look into a place that does chip fillin only. I had it done to a huge scratch that ran about 14in down my drivers side and it filled it in pretty well. Can feel it still but it isn't an ugly white gash anymore. Only cost like $25. Saved me like $300.

someone did this to my car. it left this really intricate swirled pattern of chips where the egg struck. i've been told that eggs can eat away at paint. good luck with the detailers.

Seventeen posts so far and only one person comes up with the key phrase. Egg, if left for too long, can eat through the clear and color coats of your finish.

I haven't decided what I'm going to do yet. It's been so nasty lately, I haven't had a chance to clean the car. I want to polish and wax it this weekend, but time will be tight.
