Sure sounds like a head gasket leak. check your oil..does it have a creamy color of sorts? if so get it fixed soon as possible cause it can cause alot of worse off problems.

No creamy/milky colors yet... also there's a helluva lot of steam coming from the exhaust... and sometimes when my car is hot enough.. the heat in my car feels like steam almost..

Looks about the right spot for the infamous intake manifold leak. Mine was puddling up on both sides of the engine in the same spots.

If it's puddling, get it looked at, if it's just a little seepage that looks to like it's running down, but nothing more, than it's normal.

Intake manifold gasket. That is it. Do you have warrenty on it?? If so take it to the deal to get fixed. I had it priced without warrenty and it was $800 + tax. I advise getting it done soon. They will also change your oil and flush the coolent. Good luck.

If it's just a little seepage, you're probably OK. But if you constanly are having to dump in more coolant, it won't be long before your motor looks like THIS (link to ClubGP).

Are you sure guys. He did say he's having excess emissions. If your head gasket is gone and you're burning coolant, you'll have a big white cloud beind you. I stress BIG and white. It will also linger around and smell sweet.

Don't mistake a white cloud for regular emissions though. If it's cold out, you will see your emissions more. It's water vapour. It's not a huge ammount though and disappears fairly quick after leaving your tailpipe. It will smell like normal car fumes.

You did say your coolant is going low. Can you see it coming out anywhere? Or is it just going low and you're like WTF? You sohuld be able to tell whick is the head gasket and which is the lower intake manifold gasket. Where is the trail coming from?

Hey Filter... there's not a white cloud like i'm burning oil or anything. Its just steam... but it seems like a lot to me. I cannot see anywhere that coolant is leaking... sometimes it just gets low and I'm like wtf. Like i said tho, I dont see any creamy looking stuff in my oil or anything.

I'm just kinda confused with what people are telling me tho. I have no idea how to tell if its the head gasket or that other one (upper intake manifold gasket??? ) I really dont know... starting to get more confused i guess.

I have no warrantee... so I think i'm gonna take it to a family friend's shop. But i wanna be able to tell him exactly whats wrong and make sure i get the new style gasket instead of the POS that fux up after 10,000 miles.

Either way, the lower intake manifold gasket is gonna get replaced. Cause even if it is the headgasket, you gotta take the lower intake manifold off to get at it. It IS colder now so you are gonna see your exhaust more than summer. There's that freak snow storm that's going right accross the north (and you're in MI so it's colder there too now) so the cooler temps are gonna make your exhaust more noticable than in the warm.

Honestly, head gaskets aren't SUPER common on the 60 degree V6's, but they do happen once and awhile. I'd say LIM gasket too, but the steam comment threw me off.

Steam is compleatly Normal. If you have A Frothy Milcky Coating on your oil filler cap then you are in trouble.

Actually, it is possible to have the steam not be normal. If the intake gasket is ok and the head gasket is bad, the coolant won't get into the crank case, so you won't get that frothy stuff under the fill cap. But, the bad head gasket could let the coolant leak out of the side of the head, and let it leak into the combustion chamber and cause steam out of the exhaust. Really hard on your plugs, your oxygen sensor, and your catylitic converters.

No Kidding but thats not Steam is Smoke and you can see that when its hot out. Only one way to check. Pull all your Plugs, if they are white your burning colant.

I just changed all my plugs and wires 2 weeks ago.. and they were just corroded. I assure you that there is no smoke... its strictly steam... heavy at times.

But you guys just confused the hell out of me. Is it a bad head gasket or a bad lower intake manifold gasket?? Which one am I getting from the dealer???

Well If you have Coolan leaking right buy the Block on the right side just above the tranny its the lower intake manifold.
