That is sad to see that kind of thing. You can look at it two ways: 1: He was stupid, or 2: He was doing what he loved to do. The article says they were going around curves, too. But the pics certainly don't show curves. And who's to say you can't crash on a tracK? Granted there's no trees to avoid. Just Saturday me and Houston99 were coming back the return lane when a Camaro that was running high 11s/low12s got completely sideways near the end of the track, easily doing 110mph. If he would've hit the grass with the back tires, he would've been airborne, and he had no cage either.

edit: By saying "he was stupid", I mean that to say from some people's perspective on street racing, not mine. I've said before that I street race, but I don't get stupid about it.

Yes that does suck. One more thing the artical said everyone in town said he was the best driver around. That kinda thing goes to your head and makes you think you can do things you cant. Dont overestimate yourself or his can happen to you. You have to know limits. Yours and the cars. If you dont think the car has any then you are wrong. this is even in a strait line. No road is perfect without dips and cracks. That can mess you up. If your smart about drivin you will have a better chance at survival, even if you are racing.

the t-tops are reinforced the same as the fixed roof coupes. just glass replaces the thin sheet metal.
