Friend's Window Shatters... How loud is your bass

I was hanging with a friend Blake, wBkM85, and we were riding around town in his gagt and we had the music up, and then all of a sudden we hear a lound sound... We look back and the window is cracked all to hell, and then we start to drive back to his house and half way there and it shatters into the back seat... He will post pics in the morning...

So... how loud's your bass..

Meh, I have 2 12s too.. Could be, but I highly doubt it was the bass, it would take a lot of pressure to do that. I have seen windows shatter from evironmental changes, ie: temperature, airpressure, etc.

sure, could count, but like I said, it would take a LOT of pressure to do that.

What kinda Db's does he push? I've seen it happen in old civic hatches, with close to (or more then) 150DB pushing against the hatch window.
Right now, I can hit 145ish, its enough to make you nausious and hair bounce around, but not to shatter the rear window. Cause you can punch a window pretty hard before it breaks. (soft blunt object, not a hammer)

I saw it happen in a Pony, but it was like 30 friggin degrees outside, had ice on his windows, and then started bumpin his bass as loud as possible and his rear window cracked a bit. I think it was mainly from the cold...

Just wondering..

..... Do think these could have been the result of the problem?

Also did they help increase the bass internally? Just curious if folding down the backseat gives you the same result or because of the pressure being centered does these change the effect and sound quality?

Open for discussion....

i highly doubt the bass was the sole cause of that. VERY highly doubt.

Yeah, if the music was loud enough to break windows, it's loud enough to make you deaf!
