Live feed right from the detroit auto show. I watched the unveiling this morning at 8:30am. Pretty cool.

Thumbs down

It looks like a new Nissan of some kind.

It doesn't look bad, but it sure is not distinctive by any means. Bad call for them making it look like this.

Rear end does resemble a Max somewhat. But it looks sporty and mean from the rear and front. Something the GA has and the G6 doesn't.

Why did you buy your GA if it wasn't for looks and performance?

Why did you buy a Grand Am at all?

I don't understand how you can say the current GA does not look sporty. That seriously is the craziest statment I have heard in a while. It may not BE that sporty by some people's standards... but anyone I know thinks it's either a "sports car" or "racy looking" etc... What does it look like to you, a mom and pop run of the mill family sedan? NOTHING looks like a Grand Am except other Pontiacs.

As in, the GA has the sporty looks in the front and rear, but the G6 does not have those same features in the front and rear.

You misunderstood my post.

My bad then, sorry.

But the G6 looks sporty all around to me.

doesn't look too bad... definitely has a Maxima-inspired rear, but pulls it off a bit cleaner b/c of the taillights... from the side though it probably looks like it's a psuedo hatchback...

i dont really like the rocker panels or whatever that line is that runs under the doors...is that just a shadow, or is it a darker piece of material they put there? its look fug...

and at first, the pics reminded me a little of a camry solara with the rear window stretched back...the back still looks a little solara/maxima...

nothing really fancy 'bout that car 'cept the name lexus..

Eh, decent car all around. Nothing that really separates it from the rest of the crowd though.

Vintalage, I don't see how you could possibly think this is sporty and the G6 isn't. The G6 has an aggressive stance, long wheelbase, short overhang, yet the G6 is bland and this is great.
