Yeah if it was the 80's to early 90's I wouldn't be caught dead driving a silver car with the paint problems GM had.

damn, not many newbies come on here with that much work already done. Good job so far. What kind of drop does spring tech springs give you? I've never heard of them.

They claim 1.7" They can be bought on Ebay. They are made more for looks than performance. They have a spring rate similar to the stock springs to keep the ride close to factory. I will find out after I get mine on. I will post some before & after wheel gap pics when i'm done.

Just a suggestion... Those subs look like 12's and you have a 400 watt amp hooked up to them? You are underpowering your subs with that amp and you should look into a much bigger amp. That amp won't even push the maximum wattage even if you have it bridged on 2 channels.

Yes they are JL 12W0 series. I know I need a bigger amp but I don't blast it. I have 3 little kids so I can't play it too loud. Just wanted a little better sound. I am looking to up grade to a better amp later. I don't like that cobalt amp ne ways.

Anyone want to buy I will sell. Make me an offer

There is a story to the upside down sub. I used to have an 86 CRX (I miss that car) that I used to have these subs in. I would let my middle daughter ride with me once in a while well she liked to climb in the back. Well she ended up pushing in the dust cap on the one, so I took the sub out to try & pop the cap back out & when I set it back in the box it was in upside down & I liked it. It was different. So there it is.

Thanx for all the compliments!!! As I said tomorrow (saturday)I will be putting my lowering springs on & I will post pics.

Here is a few pictures of my car after I lowered it. I know my car is dirty but it's supposed to snow so I don't want to wash it just yet.
This pic is of the wheel gap on the front (can you say bye byewheel gap)

This pic is after the front was lowered. Gave it a nice old school rake to it.

This pic is after the whole car was lowered.

It took me a total of about 4 hours to do with help from my dad! By the time I got to the last 2 they were so easy to put on!!! If I had to do it again I could do it in about 2 hrs now. I found some tricks along the way to make it go alot smoother.

Anyways let me know what you think & I will post pics when I finally get my 18's back on.
