14.9@96mph 3.4L turbo

Okay Deek called me from the track. first run ever, untuned, just going out to run the car. He is an excited kid right now afterall.

It yielded a 14.9@96mph... what that means? he needs to work his beginning of the run. 2.4-2.5 60fts aren't gonna cut it.

But damn kinda crazy no?

boosted cars don't have that big of a disadvantage at elevations as much as all motor cars Dern....

Between here and cali tracks, you won't see that big of a difference on boosted cars.

Post a slip, I wanna see how much mph you gain in the back half, see how well your turbo is working, even with a vacuum leak.
Good base runs!

Much congrats, dude. That's awesome news. Video, by chance? I'd love to have a vid and hear the whine of a turbo coming out of a GA.

Hmmm sounds like a good time. THere are those days when i wish i had a turbo. But a 96 mph trap speed should put you mid to low 14's when you get everything straightend out.

Nice times. Yeah with that kind of trap speed you'll be running mid 14's in no time once you get your launch technique down. Some better tires and a little more boost and tuning, and you could be looking at a high 13. Congratulations.

thanx guys on the congrats....
i need to work on the 60 foots, i really need a pair of slicks or drag radial. My tire spin is rediculous.
Just estimating with good tires i should be around 14.3 without tuning. I also have a msd ignition on the way, plus a apexi afc. And im working on getting it computer tuned. My boost leak should be worked out today or tomorrow. By the 13th of Febuary ill post some much better times.

Any buddy got any computer programs, or chips to tune a turbocharged grandam?

attn phantom: how did you get yours tuned

DHP, e-mail them, it might be expensive but I am sure they can set up something with you via e-mail or phone. They have experience with the GN's and Typhoon / Syclone aswell, so turbo's are not new to them.

Whats the difference in your 1/8mi MPH to your 1/4mi MPH?

EDIT: damn, Seth beat me to it. ugh
