Got My Big Brakes Finally

Finally got my Baer Brakes. Custom 2 piece rotors with black hat and red calipers. Rotors have every option and I got rear rotors to match the fronts I just have to paint the hub of the rear black to make it look like the fronts and powder coat my rear caliper red. I will get pictures up soon if i can remember how to post pics in the forum.

Big brakes, boost, swaybars, all that stuff and you aren't going to race?? Maybe I am ignorant but isn't that kind of a waste?

Nice. You'll notice a huge improvement with the brakes. I've got the poly suspension bushing kit too. It was a byatch to install though. With all that work to the car you really should consider taking it for an open track day somewhere. It's a heck of a lot of fun. Especially when you're keeping up with surprised BMW and 'vette drivers. It's really pretty safe too. You shouldn't have to worry about anything happening to your car. Mine's is my daily driver (and my only car), and I still show it and take it to the race track as well. Anyway, can't wait to see some pics.

he has asserted his dominance over competing males with the loud masculine sound form his exaust system, Females searching for a potential mate will be driven away by weaker exaust systems and attracted to his SLP.

Congratulations. Regardless of whether you plan to race your car or not, you must carefully follow Baer's instructions on properly seasoning the rotors and bedding the pads - this will help get the maximum benefit from a rather sizeable investment.

he has the s/c to beat his opponents from one "tree" to the "next". he has the Baer kit to slow down if the "tree" and the end of the "track" turns red all of a sudden....

Do you know that here in America there are racers that need parts and can't afford them?? But you have them and aren't going to use them for their intended purpose? I think you should donate them to Save-A-Racer Foundation......you can contact them or even make a donation via paypal to paceonpoint@hotmail.com

Help the starving racers of America!!!!

It seems like a huge waste of time and money to have those things and never use them for what they are meant for.

I saw that they offer a 4-piston kit......and all the pistons are 38mm. I'm not sure that the stock master cylinder will be able to keep up - you may end up with a squashy pedal and way too much front brake bias, which can potentially lock the rear brakes in a panic stop (this causes accidents).
