Unfortuantely, we are stuck with the current sunfrire until further notice. This car will go on sale in Canada only.

Correct. Just a simple rebadge and a few different parts here and there.

10 times better than the Sunfire....I think it's a great design. If you look at the sides, it looks kinda like the new TL, cept for the shortened rear, so maybe more like a TSX rear + TL side. I love the TL and TSX tho.

Canada ONLY?

Well at least it looks 10's better than the Suckfire.

I agree it looks like a scolded dog whimpering, running away holding it's butt in.

Otherwise it looks very nice for an in-expensive car.... provided that it really is in-expensive.

WOW! Why the hatred? I like it. You can't have a Lexus ES 330/BMW 325/Cadillac CTS in a $12,000 package.

I don't hate it. It doesn't have to be like a Caddy CTS, but it can still look good for a $12,000 car IF that's whay they are asking for it. My guess is that it's a 18-20,000 dollar car.

I'd be OK with it if I got used to the scrinched up hind end. The car has no ass!! I guess it's better than the new BMW's that have the handicapped ass.

Don't think it'll be 18K mike. They need to position it to replace the Sunfire. I'd say base price 14K tops...and that's assuming it makes it to the US market

Sorry... the Sunfire loaded model STARTS at 18,545 loaded with a monsoon sterio and power windows/locks/mirrors it's 19 grand. Grand Am GT loaded is about 26 Grand.

Gee... wonder why GM cars aren't selling as well as before?

yeah, loaded up you're probably right. I still think that GM's pretty competitve on price. A loaded Civic costs 20K...and I think that's insane.

that can't be right, that is exactly how much I paid for mine in Canadian dollars back when the Canadian dollar was only worth 60 something cents next to the american dollar.

Oh yes...it is true! We get screwed buying cars in the US! And canadian dealers won't sell to americans for fear of losing their franchise.

Base Grand Am GT1 starts at $24,040

http://www.pontiac.com/grandam/index...and=&pagename=

Base Altima 3.5 SE starts at $22,750

http://www.nissanusa.com/vehicles/Mo...,30244,00.html

Why buy the Grand Am over the Altima?
