My latest purchase

Brad's Grand Am GT Coupe

I bought this car wrecked last week and am in the process of fixing it. I have posted in the parts wanted forum too, still need a few parts. I will post more pics as I progress. Brad

looks like it's all the broken parts are things that you would have traded out for modding anyway...except for a few smaller things here and there. Did anyone say how that got like that? Looks like they hit a high curb, or the tie-rod broke and just slammed while they were rolling...

Actually, we had some nasty icy and snowy weather here in Iowa in January and the guy actually slid into his roommate's car. It just snapped the spindle, and the wheel folded the fender up. The tierod was still hooked up. It took a spindle and balljoint on the control arm to get it driveable, took it for a spin last weekend. Ends up the power steering pump went out while we were driving it, I think from the impact on the ps system during the accident. I am thinking that I should be able to have the car totally put back together and have around $6k in the car. I didn't think thats too bad for a 2000 with 30kmiles and a clean title. Brad

NADA Blue Book for my area....

You'd have to be a pretty poor salesman to not be able to get over 6k for this car when I get it fixed.

I folded my wheel up under my 99 SE.... didn't look that bad though. Cost the dealer $6000 to repair. Did it snap the transmission lines? I had problems with leaking transmission fluid in my old car.

You should have no problem fixing that up.

Its great to see replaceable parts break like that instead of bending the crap out everything and involving expensive frame work. Looks like a great deal and a realitively easy fix-up...good luck!!

The cars got a clean title.

Pretty much all I need now is a front bumper cover. I got a fender from a salvage yard this week. Hopefully I can get it all put together next week and get it out to paint!

when you get done post in the iowa forum (midwest) and talk to us about meeting up. we are starting to get more and more people, considering there are tons of GA's in Iowa anyways. good luck on the current project.
