Vortech Supercharger Trim #'s or model #???

Jaketuff (oops I mean IrateGT) ....don't you have one of these??? what are the numbers on this charger??

can you find one used?? just curious....don't slam me guys!

i wonder if the shaft can be fabricated as well as mounting brakets? unlike the m62 it doesnt seem as complicated...just mounts up to the TB like a CAI...with intake tube.... i saw the same setup on a focus.......on ebay. seems really simple.
out of the 2 superchargers the vortech setup does not seem to have all the nose, snout, and inlet pieces necessary like the eaton............whatever ...like i really would consider this anyway...i am just curious

I wouldn't worry about the engine. Even with the overpiced "upgrade" to run 11-12 psi you're not in power to do any harm. At the power I've seen their kits run... tranny shouldn't be that big of deal either.

Now go with the turbo and run 8+psi and you have enough torque to keep that focker from shifting.

I wouldn't waste my time with RSM, it costs WAY too much. I don't think they get that much power. For that price you can get the turbo and hire a shop install it and you're still ahead. If you are worried about the tranny just use the wastegate spring that's set for 6psi. That'll get you around 220 wHP and 255 ft/lbs and you won't even need to change the injectors. Yeah, there's some more work in a turbo, but the power is so nice......

It might fit. We don't know because I haven't found an older N-body to see if would fit..... spacing looks like it would be okay and it would bolt up if there is space enough for the headers.

It's in New Mexico, so I think that's out. However, if you want to set up a date, we can do a small meet and I can do some measuring and compare.

Before we completely jack the thread maybe you should make one in the Midwest club. I'll be running at the Muncie track (it's about 1 hr South of Ft. Wayne) on April 17th.

I'm not too sure about the blower numbers on mine - I'll have to take a look next time I'm home.

As for boost levels - I was pushing about 7psi peak - averaged around 6ish though.

The Vortech Supercharger that is used by RSM is the V-9 and it is a G-trim. Vortech advises that an intercooler would ONLY be required for boost applications exceeding more than 15 psi.

what are the numbers on this SC as far as pressure, cubic air, etc. i was wondering if the older mustang chargers for the 1989-1994 mustang are comprable?

are there any older vortech chargers that compare to the v-9 G-Trim??

what types of shops can fabricate a shaft??

has anyone considered this and what are the obstacles??

I dont want to hijack....but just adding to Phantom and Shizzy's stuff...

Shizzys car has the 4T60E, it will handle much more power then the 4T45E. So if Phantom is running 9# of boost, you wont have any problems. Also, our computer setup is much differant then of the 99+ N-Bodies, and before you install a turbo, you will need to think of something doing either a SAFC with FMU or a standalone/piggy back unit. I honestly do not think this kit will work with the pre 99's because our master cylinder is much bigger, and its a tight fit for the downpipe.
