My (Sort of) Eibach Install and my Header install!
Well, I went and tried to do my Eibach install Friday night. Well, Friday night we didn't have a spring compressor and for our lives couldn't get it on without one, so decided Saturday morning to try again. Well got the fronts done, then my friends all had to leave, and I wasn't going to do it myself, so now I have a 1/2 lowered car, the fronts Eibach, the backs stock
So next Saturday the backs go on!This is what we were faced with Saturday morning, note the GAGT 'How-To' sitting there. ![]() The mess waiting for me: ![]() Sorry we didn't take more pics during install... just wanted to get done! Here is what it looks like 1/2 way lowered. ![]() ![]()

Yeah, feels totally different, pulls all the way to into 3rd, past 95 now
Haven't really driven it too much to feel the handleing difference, but did notice my back almost came out from me doing a couple quick left right left right pulls on the wheel!

, you'll have that when your a$$ is in the air... , that spring compressor worked for ya? i hate the thread being in the inside, i used two, they go on the outside so you dont hae to fight the strut... but i also did mine by myself (impact wrech saved me there) it goes hella fast...rember to trim your bumpstop?

H & R
I need to get some of those then. I just need to find somebody in Wisconsin that will install them for me because I have no mechanical ability at all. I get all of my work done at the gm dealer but I know I can't go their to get lowering springs installed

Eibachs: H&R's: Sorry to hijack, but good work on the header install. How long did that take you and how come you didn't broadcast it live?

macpherson spring compressors work best
youll need 2 to get the stock spring off, but ONLY one to get the aftermarket back on

heh mine worked the opposite way (idk if they were mcphearson...they were both rented from Autozone, but two different styles), I only needed one to get the stock spring off....two to get the aftermarket on.

Finished the install last night, turned out good. I wish I had gotten an impact fun for the fronts, though. After spending 2 hrs trying to get a bolt off a strut that kept sprinning I went to Sears and bought one...got back and finished the pass rear strut and the driver rear in 25 mins. God I wish I had that impact gun for the front. Then I took said gun back to Sears, haha!
