Alternative Way To Clear Tails?

I kind of had an idea surfacing my mind today. And i was wondering if possibly it could be done. Now we all know what a PITA it is to achieve clear taillights. Now what i thought of when you take out the taillight and you look on the backside, the sockets that the lightbulbs go in. I wonder if theres a way to stick something through that hole and maybe break down those plastic pieces enough to where they can fit through those holes. Now if it is possible it would elimdate alot of the hassle, but at this point it seems a little hard but i wanted to get everyones opionions on this. Just a thought.

hmm.. that would be possible. I actually can't believe nobody has ever thought of that.

I don't know how easy it would be to break the pieces after the initial break is made.. it would be hard to get those little pieces broken without eff'ing up the lense. Good idea though... I am still thinking it over as I type this.

Is there a way to break the seal on the stock tails so the whole lens comes off in one peice? If that would be possible without breaking it you could clear it out and then reseal the faceing back on... anyone ever try that route? (wishing i had an extra tail light around) hehe.

Why don't you just spend the $465 and get the real good looking ones. They are so worth the money once on.

Cause I'm gonna pull $465 out of my *** for taillights...

I like the idea though, I already went through a set of tails cause I didn't seal them properly and I lost a lens at 80 on the interstate.

I'm going for my headers, exhaust, BOV, clutch kit, intercooler, FMU & body kit first... then tail lights

Besides, you can drop $265.00 after S&H instead of $465.00 but I wont stop you from paying $200.00 more than me for euro tails!

Aww comon.....those tails will give you at least 15 more HP at the wheels

I would just clear them myself. Is there maybe a dremel adapter that could get into there to kinda break up the lens stuff?

When I get around to it (sometime) I'll clear my lenses....for now, I need to finish the interior, touch up the car, and wax that baby

Just clear them the old fasioned way (the N-body.net how-to). It's really pretty easy, I had them apart and resealed in half a day, dried over night and back on the car the next day. Haven't had a weak seal problem yet (knock on wood). Personally I think the cleared stock tails look better than the Euro options that are out there.
