Arrow Tried Mr. Clean with Zymol Soap...

Discovered that the ENTIRE "auto-dry" process relies on the soap. The lil filtered water really didnt do anything. I noted that the autodry soap seemed to not get along well with wax, and after looking at the soap in the bottle and seeing all the crud in it, I decided to go with my trusty zymol.

When I first washed with mr clean last week, I waxed it immediately afterwards with NXT. While waxing, I pulled up a lot of dirt that somehow didnt get off the car (I definitely didnt miss a spot).

SO, final word is that Id say the mr clean thing is good for quick washes when you dont really have the time to be throurough. But, when youre looking to get your car REALLY clean, nothing can beat the good ol soap and bucket.

Ill still be using the MR clean unit, just minus its soap. Its still easier than lugging around a bucket and having to keep empyting and re-filling to keep the crud out of my wash mit.

Here a couple pics with the NXT and zymol soap... Bad lighting, but you can see some reflection.

well finally used the mr clean auto dry today, gotta admit, im impressed. i always had troubles with water spots on my car, even after i hand dry it, (we have a lot of deposits in our water outside water)....but as those ads say, it truely is spot free... not one water spot, or anything... however, i didn't polish or wax the car cause, the clerk i bought it from, told me to stop by after i wash it, so she can see the results... so, all in all, im impressed...we'll just wait and see till i polish/wax the car, and see if that'll work out as good.

It does work great, but if youre going to be a fanatic about the car's finish, this stuff is good for when youre in a rush. But if you want it to be really clean, wash the old fashioned way.

i used the mr clean auto wash and then used the nxt wax. first of all i thought the nxt stuff was awesome but it was also the only wax ive used on my GA. anyway, i did notice that the nxt applicator was a little dirty but i dont think that was mr. cleans fault. but im a big fan of the auto dry so maybe im biased.

What I noticed was that next time it rained, all that pretty Zaino beading *dissapeared*. The rain sheeted on my car. It looked like crap.

I'm still using it, cause I think a filtered rinse is great, but I'm definitely not using their crappy soap anymore...

be careful switching soaps! I dont know what happened, but monday after drying the car it had countless spots all over it. Looked like vaseline on it or something. Had to was three times to get it off!

If i were using this product, I definantly not use the Mr Clean soap, not even put it in the machine, especially if you use a high end wax like Zaino.

Just use the filtered water portion of the machine to do a final rinse of the car. The water won't sheet and eveporate like its supposed to, it will just bead up like it always do. Only difference being that when the water eventually evaporates, it won't leave spots because the contaminates were absorbed by the filter.

Do a test spot on a clean car with regular water and brita jug water.
