Don't take this as a negative it was cool.. And taking video and sharing it with us was great!! But it seems the only smokin was the rear wheels....

Trust me, I didn't drag the rear wheels that far, I don't need flat spots on them.

My rule of thumb is, e-brake till you see smoke come off the tires, release brake, hold till you are done with the tires or run out of room, as in the case above.

Don't dis the guy.. Any attempt is a good atempt. Let's face it, a GA isn't going to do a burn out like a Mustang or a Camaro!

Yes, shifting while the tires are spinning is not liked by the Trans or Torque Converter.

If I wanted to sit there and burn them I would have. Since I was going for distance I rode it out to the end of the parking lot.

sorry, i was disillusioned after seeing a v6 00 mustang drop the clutch at a 15mph roll and light them up while getting sideways, was quite interesting to meet the `fastest v6 stang` on the east coast

FYI for the uniformed. GA's won't shift out of first anyway when you are doing a burnout. They just bounce of the rev-limiter. The pcm is programmed not to shift when you lose traction. When you pull up on the e-brake while the car is in gear the traction control goes off automatically, and the fronts are spinning faster than the rears, so the car knows not to shift.

Also, considering these cars have auto trannies with torque converters and open diffs, compared to a manual tranny car with an LSD, they usually don't do very good burnouts. All things considered I'd say that was a pretty darn good burnout.
