Pistons will win the EAST

Time for the playoffs BIOTCHS!! No SuperStars here....Just a great TEAM. I am just starting this thread now. My Avatar will not change until Pistons are East Coast Champions. I will dig this sucker up in early June to celebrate. Fock all the sports writers who have nothing good to say about them. You will see. Who's with me. I am also open to any friendly wagers anyone would like to take with me about this. Pistons are currently 7-1 to win the EAST in Vegas. I'll give you 5-1!

GO PISTONS>

I agree, the Pistons will win the East. The east is starting to look alot more interesting with NJ and Indiana playing well too. The conference semi's should be good, as will the finals. However, frontcourts win playoff series, and Rasheed Wallace was an amazing acquisition. They go to the finals because they play D, and they have a good postup player in wallace.

But, when they face the Sac Kings in the finals, Pistons lose in 6

We'll see if D-tizzle can hold off Miami if they make it. It's looking promising with our continuation of the late season run. We went from being out of the playoffs to having homecourt advantage. I'd say that makes us probably the most impressive team in the east as of now.

But it doesn't matter because of course the west is gonna own . Man I hope the East kicks the crap out of the west this year. It's such BS to hear people only talk about how great the west is and blah blah blah. Reminds me of how The Marlins had NO CHANCE at beating the Giants, then the Cubs, then the Yankees. And yet here we are, World Series Champs.

Miami is far from being a championship caliber team!!The west will win it all again this year as usual. The NBA champs will be the L.A. LAKERS!!

Sac when healthy can beat any team in the NBA, hands down. The mavericks series is just what they need. They need a series where they can go up and down the court, and get all their players involved and healthy. They tied SA in the season series, and can play a good game against them any day of the week. They can beat Minny as well. They've proven they can go toe to toe with a Healthy lakers team too. I won't even talk about the east. While it's getting better, they're still not as good as the top 4 teams in the west. I hope it's a competitive finals, but Sac has just as good a chance as any of the other teams in the West, and is a favorite if they're healthy.

When it is all said and done the Kings will choke as they always do.Webber is so overrated it isn't even funny. He has never won anything in college or the NBA and until he does he will never be the player he is hyped to be.

Do you really think the Lake Show is as good as everyone thought they'd be?

Kobe is a great player, shaq has his moments, but payton and malone can't run the triangle, are getting less aggressive on D, and there's too much turmoil between em. I'm not saying they can't win, but to say that they have a significantly better shot than SAC is ridiculous. And that SAC chokes? In the series with LA, they had to do without Peja (who was an mvp candidate this year)
Last year they would've won it all (likely, but they still had to face SA) had webber not gone down in game 2 of a 7 game series. This year, barring anymore catastrophic injuries, the Kings have a great shot at winning IMO. The lakers, while good, are only good for this year, and even then, they are a MAYBE.

It's really hard to hate the lakers, considering I go to school in Los Angeles, the capital of bandwagon fans

So never been to Miami have ya?

Anyway, I wasn't saying before that Miami is necessarily a championship team here, but the chemistry after Riley left and van Gundy could implement some things has greatly improved, and going 17-4 the last 21 games of the season is nothing to laugh at or dismiss. If their fire could continue, they do have a chance, similar to the Marlins. Like I said, in baseball its all about the AL and the Yankees and everything, and yet the NL Marlins came out of nowhere and got the trophy with a young team. If you dismiss the teams that are considered "lesser" from the beginning, you'll get burned no mater who you are. The west will most likely win it all with some team, but if they don't expect the east to come to play, they'll be in trouble, bottom line.

Injuries have plagued the Lakers plus Kobe's legal mess. They have not played up to their potential,NOT EVEN CLOSE.If they do play like they are capable of there is no team that can beat them in a 7 game series.
Don't get me wrong,I do think the Kings are a very good team and capable of winning it all,but they seem to blow up when it really matters.

Yea the Heat did play well the last 21 games, but this is the playoffs. They really have no chance of beating a good team such as the Pistons,Pacers,or Nets.Either of those 3 will give the western champ a good series, but in the end will not have enough fire power to win the series.

nets blow now, miami has no chance against the pistons, and the lakers will be lucky to make it through the second round.

finals: pistons > twolves in 5

Minnesota will not get to the finals..........Kings,Lakers,Mavs,and Spurs are all better. Pistons have a good chance to go,Rasheed was a huge pickup for them.

Agreed. I think the only team from the east that could POSSIBLY upset a western team has to be Detroit. They have enough frontcourt players to match up with SA, or LA. SAC would be a slightly different matchup for them, as would minny, since they run more high post stuff with their big men. Either way, IN shouldn't be a big time player against a top western team. LA, for all their worth, is still overrated in my opinion. The Lakers were playing very well when they blew out the kings, although the kings were just starting to get back into rythym. LA was on a win streak and built confidence. LA came to SAC, and got ran out of Arco. I really want to see those two teams play each other in a Series, because in Cali, it's extremely polarized: you love one and hate the other. I love the kings, and respect the lake show, but really hate em

SAC can beat LA, and vice versa, even when they're both healthy. Malone and Payton are overrated. they're hall of famers for what they did 7 years ago, not what they can do today. Arguably, Mike bibby and Brad Miller are better players NOW than payton and malone, but admittedly nowhere near where they WERE. Anyways, it's gonna be a great playoffs. I'm strapped in for some game 2's tonight

I think Detroits Wallace combo will be hard for the Pacers to contend with even though they have a very good players in J. O'neal plus the head case Artest.

What happened 2 weeks ago when the Pistons played the Pacers for the first (and last) time since aquiring Rasheed Wallace? Oh yeah. Pistons blew them out by 30.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the Pacers will win it...

They are gelling right now and will be very tough to beat
