Well today I decided it was time to wax the hotrod. I am trying the Deep Crystal 3 step wax from Meguirs. VERY nice stuff. I have a white car so it is hard to get a good shine. Well this gave the car a really nice shine. Plus the scratch and swirl reducer in step 1 worked really well.
Anybody else use this and if so what are your thoughts. Pucci

Ok well then use Zymol. Its leaps ahead of meguiars and its like 12 bucks a bottle.
if you have scratches use this stuff called KIT Scratch Remover , it comes in a yellow bottle you can get it at walmart.

I also use the 3 step process by Meguires...love it. Although after 3 coats for waxing, etc my arm feels like falling off. But the shine is definetly worth it!!

Zymol made my car look good, but it didn't put up with the harsh winter very well... my car has ssssooo many new swirl marks it isn't funny. hopefully the new tech wax can help this.

Zymol is leaps and bounds ahead of Meguiars, im not sure about their "new" crap. But all the tests ive seen Zymol walks all over Meguiars. It will hold up quite a bit longer than Meguiars but not nearly as long as Zaino. My Zaino held up all winter and still outshines any Zymol/Meguiars that was just put on yesterday and my last coat of Zaino was put on 8 months ago.
If you have swirl marks its because your either A. using a buffer on your car thats a no no. Or B. drying off your car with some junk chamois? C. Using some kind of brush on your car thats a no no. D. your not using 100% cotton towels and wash mitts and polish applicators. The best stuff ive used that removes swirl marks besides Zaino is called Kit Scratch out (comes in a yellow bottle) Try it sometime and get back to me.

Nothing wrong with using a buffer if its used correctly, with clean bonnets.

Ditto what Molson said.
Nothing wrong with using a buffer if you know what your doing, but theres too many morons running loose with buffers swirling up their cars and burning their paint.

I use turtle wax. Why? Because my dad bought it the other day. My car is black and holy **** it is looking good now. Wax did it justice! Water rolls right off of it. I'll see how long it holds up. |

i agree, i kinda misread what you said about the buffer SC/T. but i agree alot of people dont know how to use em, then they complain about swirls when they use em wrong. i admit, i have a gray car and i use it, perfect results. but my moms black car, i just do it by hand. dont wanna risk her paint even though i do know how to use one, black is just very unforgiving.

I don't bother using a buffer anymore. Zaino is so easy to apply and take off, it's not worth the hassle using a buffer.
As far as other polishes/waxes are concerned, how do they compare to a shine like this? ![]()
