The fact that the C5 had a 100 shot made it a really unfair race/comparison.

he has asserted his dominance over competing males with the loud masculine sound form his exaust system, Females searching for a potential mate will be driven away by weaker exaust systems and attracted to his SLP.

The fact that the SRT-4 has less weight and a turbo makes it unfair. Plus its a 97 C5.

We can go on a all day about it's unfair for them to have this or that. but I think stock vs. stock it would be very close.

actually it seems the C5 would lose.

It's OK, people can continue to hate all they want on the SRT-4, it only shows how much of a naive queer they are. Some people can't deal with reality.

In the race we watched, yes. If they both had excellent drivers, the vette would win (stock vs. stock).

The SRT-4 is very quick, and if I wanted a cheap fast car it's a hell of a deal, unfortunately I prefer a car that is quick and handles well. The car is very impressive in a straight line. An approx. 14.2 1/4 is awesome.

1. If you're going to approx. a 1/4 on this car, try 13.9
2. This car will outhandle a GAGT

Silver02EX - I was referring to how coupe said the nitrous is an unfair advatnage.

Bob, are you referring to me? And try a average driver running a 14.2-14.4 for the SRT-4's. Dont believe me? Go check out the SRT forums and ask what a average driver, bone stock, stock tires runs.

ah the SRT-4 debates go on...

Here, I'll finish the rest of the thread for you:

A: Yo, once the SRT-4 gets da stage 3, it'll smoke that vette.

B: But stock vs. stock, the vette will win.

A: So? What if the vette had a bad driver?

B: The SRT-4 weighs less...

C: Yo, I know this one SRT-4 in Milwaukee that ran some fast car and won.

A: But its not fair - the vette was cheating with nitrous.

D: So, the SRT-4 has a turbo and its a dodge.

B: The SRT-4 probably had traction issues, so this race doesn't count.

AMRAAM: You're all stupid.

Bob, stop trying to argue for the sake of arguing. We all know you get your jollies off at it.

You know damn well I meant. So what if it runs 13.9 that's hella fast and respectable, but unfortunately the vette runs 12.9-13.4 looks like it's still faster, and handles 10x better. I wasn't comparing a GA to an SRT-4, so where the f'k did you come up with that from? Nice try though.

Case in point, good drivers in both vehicles, the vette will always win. Again, as I said, in the video the SRT-4 would take the vette if the vette wasn't running nitrous.

Now, are you going to let it go or are you going to try coming back and twisting everything that I said around trying to make me look wrong, and then try to get me to start an argument?

I will continue to point out the truth to all the people who constantly have to rag on the SRT-4.

i agree with the above statment, the Vette would loose without the nitrous setup

hey i like SRT-4's too, they are IMO the best value for a car with those numbers...but i just wish it looked a little different in the front...most non car people will be like "Why is that guy driving a neon??" you know?

Let me get this straight........ Some of you are trying to that the Neon SRT-4 would beat a Vette if it were stock vs. stock? I thought you all were car guys? Just what plant are you smoking?

A stock Vette will run 0-60 in anywhere from 4.4 - 4.8 seconds and the 1/4 mile in about 13.2 ....... the SRT-4 does 0-60 in about 5.3 seconds and the 1/4 mile in about 14.3 seconds.

Oh yeah, about AAMRAM; Every site gotta have at least one huh?

im not taking sides, but 5.3 0-60 in a neon is pretty quick. the old SS's and WS6 were running 5.0 (give or take a couple tenths).

and running a souped up neon versus the bottom line vette isn't fair . a SRT4 vs. a Z06 would be more along the lines . then they're both the upgraded version of the car

Then give a few 10's of thousands. into the SRT-4 so it would be "fair" That way the price range would be the same.... this is what I mean.. We can go on all day about what is fair or not.

And then person D comes in and points out that a Neon will never and can never be a Vette, therefore even if it wins....here's the real original line....it's STILL A NEON! [Apu]Thank you come again[/Apu]
