sweet SVT Mustang

well my bro's tire was flat as hell, so we drove to a gas station to inflate it. of course the air thing was broken. but right next to it was the Pontiac dealership. so we drove over there and they happily filled it up. but while i was there, i had a perfect chance to use my new digital camera! here's some pics of a sweet lookin supercharged SVT Cobra. i love the color.

Yep, tho there are rare cases of over 400 rwhp, I think one dynoed 450 rwhp stock, but that was definately a freak of automobile nature.

yup, a supercharged GM V6 would be nice. But when it comes to a V8, don't you think they need to stay away from the supercharger? stay true to the past... ya know? make a better motor!

it might be supercharged and look ok but just give it sometime it will be broke down on the roadside in no time. Only way Ford can get 300HP out of something is to supercharge it, isnt that just terriffic.

Nice car, and I would even take it.....if it were a hardtop. I think convertible's, especially high performance one's, are teh ghey. You either want to pimp with the top down, or go balls out with a roof over your head. Even from a pure safety standpoint I just don't understand that. Big deal, you strengthen the frame, it's still not a roof if you flip it over going 140MPH

PACE has disabled reputation
I have heard that all of the Cobras are dynoing over 400 hp. In some cases as high as 420 and 430 hp but Ford continues to advertise 390 due to some excise tax they would have to pay on a car with more than 400 hp.

Acrually, just as PACE said, ford advertises 390. Correct number (CRANK) is approx 425. Most dyno between 375-390 on a MUSTANG dyno, which is actually lower then a dynojet. A dynojet will show about 395-415. KillaByte's cobra dynoed ar 452 RWHP bone stock.

This post makes lots of sense

Ford has the balls to build performance cars the average consumer can afford, cant say the same for GM. I'm not a ford lover BTW just stating an obvious fact. Stay true to the past? We arent living in the past hell why not take advantage of new technology.

ummmm yea, you obviously dont know how well the engine is built. Also, they already got over 300hp from this engine since 96 not to even mention the 5.4 SOHC and 5.4 DOHC. And I agree with Greg, Ford just responded to what people want, something that can cheaply/easily be tuneable
