StL area car clubs

Any good car clubs in the st. louis area that i could possibly join, i cant find any info anywhere?

I've tried twice already, and both times came up short. I spent over half my last summer planning meets, talking to car shows about space, building a website, etc. It's the same sh!t though. The problem is people want to start these things, but don't want to actually work to keep them going.

Then meets? Over at GMP....I setup over three meets last year. About 10 people said they were coming. You know how many came to all three? The same ONE person. And the same thing happens/ has happened here. Cruz knows this.

Just something about the people in MO. If the meet is not RIGHT in their backyard, well then it is not worth it.

well how many people on this website actually live in eastern MO, and southern illinois (st. louis area). From what ive seen on the posts, there seems to be a decent number, its just too bad that we al cant get something going.

Why not just join GV Midwest? You're pretty close to them anyway. Plus since there's barely anyone else interested in your area, you'd be better off just joining an established club rather than starting one.

the reason is that the gv club closest that i found was in indianapolis, which is quite a ways from me since i live in st. louis, and one of their requirements is that you have to go to atleast one meet of their, and with school, and work now and the the two jobs i am taking over the summer i would really have a hard time getting there, some thing in the stl area would be perfect.

Get a buncha names together of people interested (me) and then organize some type of meet where we all could go and meet up

design a name/logo. Get an internet site. Probalby t-shirts or stickers or something.

Schedule a place to meet with those interested and wahlaa there it takes off. Then keep scheduleing meets, cruise nights and all that. It'll take a while but everything will work out.

See the problem from there is having everyone attending AND participating. Like I said before...I have tried the club thing and it failed. Look on gmpower.net under the midwest section....Team Acceleration was us! We (me and the other "phantom" founder

) had mucho stuff lined up, but everybody kept backing out at the last minute.

We do however have enough people that its seems a meet is do-able!

Cruz was talking about something down at Union. Like just chill outside then goto Hooters or something. Or maybe a meet down at Forest Park/Creve Cour Park. Both nice places, plus some awesome spots for photo-ops.

I'm up for anything... I was really considering going to whatever main event GAGT.com had this year, but it looks like I wont be able to attend due to my deployment. Though, I really want to see what all the STL peeps want to do.

BTW- anyone going to pointfest 16 on the 5th?
