I remember the car. I think they said that the entire was "marblized". I guess it was a marble effect used on things like stripes and such.

Nah...I've seen other pics closeup of it Vina. Don't remember where but it invoked the same kinda reaction that the Lous Vitton paintjob on the Eclipse in 2F, 2F gave me.

yeah you take saran wrap and put it on the paint while its still wet, like right after you spray it and then take it off, weird effect but cool on some cars/colors

that is called a crackle paint job, marbilizing involves a lot more and usually you use feathers for marble paint job.....

I have been reading here for a long time, I registered today just because of the joy of finally getting the answer on how to marbelize paint.

In MHO I think it looks terrible. I like the reflection of a nice wax job. Too me, it just looks like someone got lazy and left the wax on. I guess different people, different taste.

Agreed. I think it looks crappy. I think Im a "one color, waxed" kinda guy. The only paint job Ive seen that was different from the norm as far as effect or design or whatever, has been that two tone chop of papios gt.

^ It doesn't look marbalized in that pic.. just very shiney. Maybe a before shot? Paintjob almost looks different in each pic/angle.. it's interesting. Less the tailz, I like it.
