KG does deserve a ring and I think he will get one soon.Just not until the Lakers lose alot of the current players and start rebuilding possibly next year,but this year belongs to the LAKERS!!As long as the Lakers have the 2 best players on the planet..........Kobe and Shaq......... they will be almost impossible to beat!

If you have 4 ALL-STARS on your team you better win the championship. I mean DAMN! The should've had the best record in the leage with those players. I cant wait for this crap to be over so Kobe can get locked up. The lakers can suck it as far as I'm concerned!

Kobe isn't as good as he is without Shaq. I dare him to play for another team next year... one without Shaq. We all saw what happened at the begining of the season when Shaq wasn't playing. Shaq came back and they had to play catch up with the rest of the western confrence!

Is it funny to anyone else or just me how people root for a team and talk about how good they're gonna be someday, then when they finally reach that point, everyone starts talking about overrated they are and how much they wish that team would get their asses kicked by yet another up & coming team who's gonna be great someday!

Its kinda like when a rock group is loved by few , then gets popular for whatever reason, then those few call them "sell-outs".

Whatever guys. The Lakers are a great team and most likely will win the title. Detroit is a great team, and I wish them well, just not too well Lakers win 4-2.

By the way, Kevin Garnett doesn't "deserve" a ring..... he needs to earn it like everyone else. We don't just give away honorary championship rings here. If we did, we'd have to give ones to Tony Gwynn and Dan Marino.... plus countless others who were unreal players, but played for average teams.

You must not follow it well enough to know that Payton is only a shell of his former self and Malnone's game has declined a great deal as well.the 2 mentioned are not ALL-STARS anymore,they are old players at the end of their careers jumping on a great team trying to win a ring.

So Kobe is a person of high character? Please. I just start to laugh when Lakerfan starts chanting MVP for him when Shaq is the reason they win. Shaq is the most dominating player in the game and their offense should go through him on every possesion. I hope the Pistons can offer the Lakers a challenge, but unfortunately the league wants the Lakers to win.

that doesnt matter...they cant judge the victom's character in rape/sexual assault trials

there was an article in FHM or MAXIM i believe about the Kobe trial, it said that the victom's friends even thought she was lying and just after money...she was quoted by her roomate sayin that after she won she was gunna get a boob job and move to florida

No, I didn't miss it. I agree the refs tried their hardest to make it a close game in the first half. Or maybe they were just showing Lakerfan what it's like on the other side of the fence.

And I think Shaq can win without Kobe. He almost did it back when he was with the Magic, but they got taken out by one of the best, Hakeem. As long as he has someone to kick it out to and make an 18 footer...

Another thing, go watch some of the great games that involved Magic, Bird, Dr. J, etc. There is no comparison to the games today. Why, because players then could make a jump shot. They knew how to play the game and were not worried about getting on Sportcenter with a highlight dunk. All of these low scores are not because of the great defense being played, it's because these guys can't shoot. It's just like Jake Shuttlesworth said, "they are lacking fundamentals".

I'm sure Kobe will get off too. Pro athletes almost always do. But sooner or later they have to make an example out of someone. As far as the charactor thing goes, I guess tatooing your wifes name on your arm and a $4 million dollar ring clears up that issue, right?

Back in the days of Magic and the others you mentioned is when the NBA was at it's best.I have been a Laker fan since those days,yes I am an old man..........and I agree 100% with your opinion of todays NBA.
Don't get me wrong,Kobe was totally wrong for screwing around while being married,but I have a VERY hard time believing he would try to rape someone.I mean damn,he has women falling at his feet and can have any that he wants.The girl is just out to get rich quick!
