I hope that they have a computer for you... don't use the alcohol kit unless they had the inside coated too.

i got my customer box yesterday, with some stuff missing. i cant believe they'd sell
something and not send the whole kit, i was missing my boost controller, ic strap, v-band clamp, and batt reloc kit. hopefully they sent it today like they said they would. oh, i didnt get my computer also, they say the tuning was wrong, so i should get it when i get my piping. hopefully next week.
i ordered it in march and got it now, sux. had to wait.......oh well, kind of expected it from the beginning though for some reason.........

The tuning was wrong? How? Unless they are still trying to stock injectors, which they shouldn't I don't see how that's really possible.

Not like it much matters. I'm redoing everything including the computer.

dont know, unless dhp wants to send it to me to try to get their core charge cuz i was only charged 2999 for the kit and he didnt put the computer core. i expect BS from them. i just want my kit to be complete already.
so what do you plan to do with your set up, did you install the trans, if not, hows it holding on?
oh, is their any way to get away without the computer if i increase fuel flow?

I wouldn't recommend using a FMU. You boost so fast I'm not even sure how well it would keep up. The best thing is to get a reprogram done. Period. Even if you have to make a custom appointment for DHP it would be worth it.

You might not want to go all the way to 42.5# injectors, but going to 36# injectors and use a v1.1 mini-AFC to the trim. With that harness you can use anything you like that has the older style OBDI injector connector.

BTW, HPP is lying about the tune not being right, I would be very very upset if I was DHP.

If I had the cash I probabally would have bought a turbo kit back in March also. Then again I think it would almost be a waste to do it though. I really do love the turbo idea, but it seems like it isn't working out as well as everyone planned. I thank phantom for putting all his effort into this project and I really am glad to hear that he is still pushing to make things work out nicely. PLEASE tell me some results as soon as you get them. I will definately put down my money, when I get it for some good results. I would like to see with 14-15 pounds of boost the car running 300 hp and 350 tq to the wheels. That would be astonishing. If a grand am ran a low 13 I would definately spend the money. Then I'd just turn up the boost even higher, with more money and tuning of course! n' some meaty tires

i dont think its worth spending all that money to try to put a ga into the low 13s imo. id spend that money to trade it in and cover the upside down equity for the loan and get something better like an SS,WS6 or an STI. which come mid to low 13s stock. imagine spending 2500 for a trans and lsd for an extra 600 and computer/fuel upgrades and maybe some internal upgrades for the motor, then look for someone who even makes them for our motors. too much time for me. plus suspension and brake upgrades. nah, not me, just a little boost to get me into the 13s and be able to be a pretty quick ga is all i really need. plus its my daily driver. but hey,...to each his own. and ill keep you posted on numbers for you. thanx again to Phantom for all the info....

Okay, I'm not saying to use the mini-AFC on a permanent basis. That would allow you get there so you can get the tune done. It would also help for very fine tuning if you were able to get some perameters.

Now about the computer: running lean? Okay, I have some ideas why. The first one is the injectors are not big enough. I kept saying this to them, but they didn't seem like they wanted to listen. At 9psi those stock injectors were MINIMALLY adequate, even with a reprogram. So at 6psi I wouldn't surprised if you weren't pushing your luck.

Haven't done anything with the site lately. I'll have a newer updated one soon.
I'm not doing this to help HPP. I feel commited to the idea of getting people on the road and I want to see more fast GA in general. If I wanted to be a vengeful prick, I wouldn't help you guys at all.
