GM needs to fix these rotors!

I am fed up with it, my rotors are warped and i feelt it. the car pulsates, and it is horrible. Its a matter of time until someone gets in a crash or hits something because of these rotors.

We should all get a petition going, everyone who has this problem should sign up and we should send it to GM, see if they can help us on replacing our rotors, because i dont have 300 dollars to give away just like that, anyways its GM's problem, they should fix it.

We really should get a petition going, what do you all think?

I was ****ed about this too, but I got my warped rotors machined at about 38k miles. I now have 48k miles, still with stock rotors.

I have had this promblem 3 time myself on my 2001 Grand am Gt . First they went at 10 months Then again 7 months later. Both fixed under warrenty and now they just went 11months later and this time a ended up paying big bucks for it.

I'm fed up tooooo! This promblem affects the steering at high speeds!!!!!!!

I sign the petition right now.

I'm currently looking into the lemon law about this because in is a safty issue and it has happened to me 3 times already and i know it will happen again.

True it does suck, but where the hell are you buying your rotors for $150 bux a piece??

Go to www.rockauto.com they are much cheaper

I hate to say this but you would probably have the same problem if you owned a Ford or Dodge also . Most of the American maunfacturers are using really cheap metal for there rotors . I had the same problem with the rotors on my 97 dodge dakota . They were warped at about 13,000 miles . And the worst part was it happened after the brake warrenty was up at 12,000 miles . It cost me $300 for the 2 rotors & I did the work myself .

The rotors warping also has a lot to do with how you drive . I tend to brake late & hard . So I end up going through rotors quite a bite.

Maybe it's time to learn, they are really easy to do and it would save you a bunch of money.

yes it does affect the steering i think it is as much of a hazard as the turn signal recal that sum ga's have. Its a metter of time until it becomes a recall

I don't know how much if you take to a shop, but if you take them off yourself I think an auto parts store charges like 5 bux a rotor to turn them.

Having them turned wont cure the problem, it will only hide it temporarily. Get new rotors and pads. Organize a St Louis mod/fix day and hopefully someone can help you replace the rotors.

so if i took it to a auto shop, could they turn it for cheap. I just want this fixed until atleast the end of summer, then i will get new rotors, but now im strapped for $, if the machining will cure it for about 2-3 months, it would be ok.

do you guys know how much a shop might possibly charge to install rotors. Any good shops you guys could recomond, If the turning costs too much, i will just deal with it and go buy sum as soon as i can!
