I got a question. How come everyone points their subs back? I find I get more bass and a better sound when I point them forward. It's even better whan I drop on of the back seats down.

I've tried it both ways.....and I've found that dropping the rear seats and facing them into the cab is a way of getting better sound quality. (it sounds as though you're sitting inside a bass drum) When the seats are up and the box is facing into the trunk, then you get a deep rumble and the whole car shakes....but you don't get the imaging you want. Not to mention, even with dynamat, the trunk lid buzzes to holy hell, and seems to get worse and worse over time. (not to mention, I put dynamat behind the license plate to keep it from rattling.....)

LOL rizer I was thinking the same thing. But who really needs the truck, my question is where is the spare tire at? Hope you boys have triple A.

Some really nice setups but I have question for you guys that have systems. I will be doing one myself in the near future but what im looking to get is a clean bass sound. What would be the best way to go as far as subs go. Im not looking for that bass tube rumbling sound. I want a clear crisp bass, any suggestions.

clear sound.......get a 10 or 12 in a sealed box.

well the spare tire is kinda......uh, under the large box in the trunk . so i threw a can of fix-a-flat and a 12v air compressor in the trunk for her. taught her how to use it and called it good. if she has a flat that fix-a-flat won't fix i got her a new spare tire sitting in her garage.

i only have a pic of my old setup, my new one is almost identical, but with upgraded subs from w0s to w3v2s

I made mine so that the spare is accessible without moving anything. I wouldn't make it any other way.

Well when the subs are faced toward the lid then what you hear in the car is the vibrations from the sub..i.e. SPL. However, when you have them faced into the car then you get more of the sound. Which, as someone already said, gives better imageing..i.e. SQ.

clear sound, crisp, tight...= sealed enclosure. I prefer JL myself. Which I have...hehe

Loud, deep....= ported enclousre. Sh!t they are so many I could recommend it is crazy.
