GTO's $6500 off MSRP!

Can't believe all the good deals they have on GM cars. They must have a ton of '04 inventory left! Check out this thread over at ls1gto.com for details.

Wow.. a ton of inventory is right. $26,XXX for manual. I still think a good number of people are going to wait until the '05 is released, but that's a pretty amazing deal.

But anyways...

$26,xxx + $7,000 SC kit = $33,000 @ 400 hp, potentially 430-440hp

$35,370 @ 390 hp SVT Cobra

hey I drive a 9yr old ****box. but the GTO is pretty damn nice, if I didnt want to move out my parents house I could probably afford one, well with the rebates, but the insurance would probably kill me.

Can't go wrong with the GTO prices. Like most newer pontiacs, once you drive it, you will fall in love with it.

MSRP on the Ford website says $35370 for the base, which doesn't include the 17".

EDIT: Here's the link. http://www.svt.ford.com/vehicleCobra.asp

IBDL ... how about you two ... CALM DOWN ... this is what I was talking about, I wasnt directing my comments to anyone in specific (in my thread) just to things like this. What a waste of bandwidth and time. Seriously, its the internet. This is basically the same thing as dating some online, in the level of stupidity anyways. Calm down and back off. As far as the GTO being so cheap... probably means there will be an oppurtunity to break my "smart buy" soon, but ... who am I kidding, I wouldn't be able to afford the insurance on GTO if my life depended on it. They may be bland, but they still are nice.

I went and test drove a new 04 at Pontiac on Saturday- Price I was quoted BEFORE rebates was $25,500, then rebates taken off. I'm still thinking about it though- since I was told they handle like absolute crap in any weather below about 32 degrees, and since 6 months of the year here in wisconsin temps are below 30, it might not be the best of ideas for me. We'll see.

Lawl, man GM just has problems moving their cars. I never saw rebates at the Nissan/Subaru/BMW dealerships, definately saw plenty at the Pontiac dealership. That's sad, the car just came out and they're already having trouble selling it.
