Sadly, to control yourself after someone breaks into your car would be very difficult. I would probably do the same thing. But luckily that hasn't happened yet. I wish the thieves would have gotten their ass kicked a little harder then just a broken collarbone. That is weak!

Sorry...... but FOCK THAT!

This is whats wrong with our country today. People have no respect for your personal property, and some of us feel like we can't defend it cuz of stupid-ass laws that let the criminal turn around and sue us after we defend OUR stuff! Its mine! Not yours! Don't touch! I work hard to buy the things in life I need & want, and fock anyone who tries to take that from me cuz their lazy ass doesn't wanna go out and put forth any effort in life to earn things for themselves. I hate when people say.... Now calm down, don't hurt the bad guy. I'd beat the living crap out of someone trying to take whats mine..... end of story.

I was telling my wife the other night, that if some guy was breaking into my home, threatening my family and my property, I'd do my best to get him on the floor, beat his ass, then give him 2 choices: 1; Lay there quietly while the Police are on their way.....or 2; Try & run away and I blow the back of your head off. Period.

I'm sorry...I don't mean to sound so violent, but it bothers me so much when we as free Americans are told to just calm down, while in the meantime these thugs go around with little to no fear of people fighting back.

Theres a principal here, and I believe our personal property is worth defending., and unfortunately, even to the point of violence.

if i saw someone breaking into my car i'd lay em out like anyone else, but once they were layed out i wouldnt start stomping on their neck trying to kill them, i dont want them dead, i just want them to regret ****ing with my property, i dont want to go to jail for killing someone, you can whoop someones ass to a degree but once you cross the line and are trying to kill them its a different story...

if someone broke into my house and i had a gun i would cap both of their legs without thinking twice so the option of them running isnt there ...

I respect that. I don't think you should try and kill someone just because they're trying to steal your car..... but you gotta admit, emotions run high at a time like that, and I can completely understand knocking this kid down and pounding on him a little bit, even though later on you might regret taking it that far. What bothers me is that the criminal is allowed to sue under ANY circumstance like this. The criminal initiated it, so now he must be prepared to get caught by the owner and get a nice little ass-whooping for it. Too many times the law fails us honest tax-paying citizens, so I can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing as this guy did.

I hope they don't sue him, I probably would have killed him.

If the kid wins the lawsuit, he'll go do it again, if he loses, he'll think twice about doing it again

If I saw someone breaking into my car I'd tell them make sure it gets chopped up real good and never recovered

This is just like if someone breaks into your house and you gun them down, they can sue you for shooting them thats our f'ed up justice system

Tell me about it. If you use the Last Castle Exception, if you shoot someone in your house, more then likely they can not press charges if the person was breaking into your house. Now on the civil side, they can sue even though they broke in. WTF!

If you shoot someone in the back then you'll go straight to jail. Self defense is very limited. I think it's also illegal to shoot to kill someone when they have no weapon, you can subdue them with the weapon but going for a kill shot is illegal most likely. Self defense is probably one of the most vague concepts in our judicial system.

If somebody broke into my house, when my wife was home. I would kill them. Plain and simple. No doubts about it. Double tap to the head. If it was just me, I would give them the option. But wife home......no option. Car....I can replace that, still like to beat the hell out of them.
