2005 Mustang's hit the dealerships today!

.. and my frend is buying a GT deluxe for $25,000 300HP 320Ft.Lbs of torque. Good deal, he already has a quote from a dealership, he is going to trade in his Dodge Dakota pickup.

I guess Ford picked up where GM left off and couldn't hack it. (I hate to talk negative about them but they can't build bang for the buck anymore).
Camaro Z28 was about 25 grand. I guess the GT without the leather etc... is less expensive.

Hmmm... 22K Cobalt or 23K 300HP 320Ft.Lb TQ Mustang GT?

Even the base isn't such a bad deal. SOHC V-6 engine generates 210 horsepower and 240 lb.-ft. of torque

Not bad for a $17K-19K(?) sport coupe when you really think about it.

Thats not a bad price for the power it makes, but you can get a 350hp GTO for 27k or lease one for 188/month. New car prices are killing the used car market.

17-19k for a 210hp RWD V-6, hrmm

Thing is, the new Mustang GT will hang or even beat the GTO, with 50 LESS horsepower, and probley beat it at the track with the new suspension setup.

Yeah but the Mustang is still less expensive. Also, the Mustang is a differnt type of car than the GTO.

A GTO is nothing more than a 2 door Impala (old RWD one) if you ask me, it is not replacement for the Camaro, so comparing the GTO to a Mustang is no different than comparing a 97 Thunderbird to a 97 Camaro.

Yea you can get an 04 GTO for that price...I'd be suprised to see an 05 GTO for under 30k those will fetch a premium with the LS2 in it

I saw an 04 GT on sale for 15K. It's probably gone now.

Curse the fact that I am not ready to buy a car right now!!!

I'd actually buy a Mustang GT even if I did have a faster car before (Grand Prix GTP coupe dynoed 256HP and 327Ft.Lbs to the crank), cause it's a real RWD V8 sports car.

Nothing like a handful of gears, RWD and V8 rumble begging to be tweaked.

I had (for two months) a 2000 mustang V-6.... it was okay. Interior dated. Not that fast, tho. 3.8 in it I believe... I'd love an 05, they look nice. Wonder whats gonna happen to the price of the 99-04's tho? I mean, they're already cheap... but who would buy a used $17k 04 when you could get a new $23k 05????

i really like the new look...but i think the front head lights kind of look weird. It looks really aggressive from the side.
