45-37 triple overtime

Need I say more? Henne can't throw the deep ball? I think he did so pretty nice.. then again it helps having Braylon on the receiving end and Avants TD catch in overtime was amazing. So much for stopping Hart - 3 straight games with 200+ yards, only player ever to do that in Michigan history. The D couldn't have stopped members from the GAGT community if we were all in pads - they played horrible, but give credit to State, they were running some nice plays. Stanton's injury killed them but Dowdell filled in nicely - Stanton is scary good. I almost left when it was 27-10 but something told me to stay - maybe it was the fact that I had nothing else to do. Thank god I stayed - most amazing game ever

I hate you so much for being at that game. I called a number I got through the MDen store about tickets like 3 years ago. They took my name and said they'd call back, I've never heard from them.

same pic from different sides .

henne still cant throw it deep, not with accuracy anyways. he just depends on edwards avant and breaston to be there to snatch the ball before its intercepted. ^ the pictures above prove it nicely

actually he just throws to Braylon deep, then again thats a pretty good game plan - hell I'd do the same thing - he's got freakish skills and if you just throw it up, odds are - he's gonna go get it. He does put it exactly where it needs to be though - way out of reach for anyone else but Braylon.

I was screaming so loud during that 4th quarter and ot. That was a great comeback, and i must say, avant's catch had to be the best one of the game. it was tougher than either of edwards'. Overall a awesome game, both teams played hard, but michigan made the clutch plays and it made the difference. Better luck next year State fans!! haha "Hail to the Victors!!"

Avant = best hands in the big ten by far maybe even the country. he's clutch on 3rd downs - send him to the first down marker, throw it and he's gonna catch. if he doesn't make that catch they are facing 4th & Goal and a much harder play with more pressure.

This was probably the best game I've ever seen in my life... I knew the Blue would take it home.

a QB that runs as much as Stanton is going to get injured - just so happens it was at the worst possible time. Take Vick for example, why do you think he gets injured so much - cuz of the amount of runs... Stanton is a stud - he's already scary - going to be scary good next year. Sparty outplayed us for 3 and a half quarters then laid an egg... Dowdell played good IMHO, its not like he came in and threw interceptions - Deandra Cobb is fast as hell - that little counter draw out of the shotgun prolly went for 20 yards at least every time they ran it if not more. Huge collapse by State - we got lucky but we also made the plays so you gotta give credit there - Braylon came up with some huge plays and theres no shutting down Mini-Mike Hart - 33 carries for 220 yards - 3rd straight 200+ yard game. The kid is amazing and he's only a freshman. If he would've played more the first 3 games of the year he'd be leading the Heisman, not Peterson from OU. Imagine what his numbers would be like if he got the majority of the carries the first 3 games.

Ok, I lied, I didn't know the Blue would take it. I thought they were gonners to tell you the truth. I still had that little voice in the back of my head that was saying, "Wouldn't it be sweet if Michigan would come back?" Then, we got a good drive and a field goal. Then, the famous onsides kick happened and Braylon caught a TD pass. Then he caught a another shortly thereafter. I was crapping myself the whole time. I've never seen a game like that. MSU definitely dominated on both sides of the ball for 3.5 quarters, but the Blue had more heart and drive at the end. With the combination of "Rocket Arm" Chad Henne (freshman), "Mini-Me" 5-foot-7 Mike Hart (also a freshman), and Braylon "I Can Catch Anything" Edwards (probably the best receiver in the country), Michigan is going to be TOUGH to beat. This just gives them momentum going into next week, and when they win there, they'll have all the get-up-and-go they need to take out the Buckeyes.

I think Mike Hart still has an outside shot at the Heisman. Actually, any three of those players do. If hart can keep putting up 200+ per game, Henne can still throw for 350+ a game, and Edwards can still rack up 120+ and 2-3 TD's a game, they could all be in the hunt.

Hart has an outside chance - very slim chance - they are big on no freshman winning a Heisman and with Adrian Peterson already getting Heisman consideration thats probably it for the freshman class. Braylon has the best chance - no one else is really stepping up so if he finishes the season strong he could very well get an invite to New York.
As for Henne - no way in hell - his numbers aren't great - all he's doing is winning, currently 8-1 and after the ND debacle who thought this team would have 8 wins with 2 more to go. He's led us in 4th quarter drives against Minnesota, Iowa, and Purdue as well as the comeback Saturday and thats much more important than him getting Heisman consideration. He's thrown too many picks to even be close - freshman All-American yes - Heisman No.
Bye week this week is HUGE for players and fans to recover and get a normal heartbeat back. Then Northwestern in 2 weeks can not be taken lightly - but being the last home game of the year I doubt they will. Then go into the snake pit in Columbus and take out Ohio State. Finish the regular season 10-1 and hope that Wisconsin loses a game and we're Rose Bowl bound again, if Wisconsin wins out, we're gonna need some help to get an at-large BCS bowl bid, if not its hello Orlando and Citrus Bowl for New Years.

As a Michigan fan, I'd rather not see anyone who plays for them ever win the Heisman again. The damn thing is a meaningless joke and a popularity contest as well. I'd much rather see them go on to have standout, championship careers in the NFL. Look at Woodson, his pro career has been no where near as good as any of his years at Mich.

Heisman = curse

super bowls?? remember, he carried the lions every year into the playoffs, but he cant do everything himself. super bowls arent won by 1 all star player. he did his best, but the rest of the team couldnt produce the same results.

if sanders had stayed in the game to finish the 2 years left on his contract in detroit, and then going off to whatever team his little heart desired, he wouldve broke every rushing record long ago.

edit: orton should get heisman still IMO... 17-0 td/int is damn good, but then he started sucking ... so idk.

they havent had good carreers after winning the heisman because most of them shouldnt have won or been considered in the first place
