If you think about it, Dodge offering the SXT w/ an SRT4 appearance package is pretty much the same as all the people out there that make their stock cars look like the higher up models. For example, a lot of 02-05 Si owners drop insane amounts of cash to make their base model Si to look just like a JDM Civic Type R, but lack the power and handling of a real CTR. Kid I talk to at school has an 02 Black Si with complete JDM Type R body kit, JDM grill, JDM spoiler, JDM headlights, JDM taillights, JDM rims, JDM turn signals, JDM front lip, and even JDM license plates. It looks fockin identical to a Civic Type R, yet he doesnt have one engine or suspension mod, thus it still drives like a stock Civic Si. This also goes for other cars such as the 240sx, which a lot of people spend huge amounts of cash to make look like a Silvia S13 or whatever, yet keep the engine and suspension stock.

So really, if you think about it, a lot of other car owners are just as bad as these SXT owners trying to make their rides look like SRT4s.

I think what's worse is the fact that the factory is offering these 'fake' upper models.

no, not really, because the GASE also comes with the 3.4 and the only like major differences between a GASE and a GAGT are the bumpers and the "ram air" jazz
