Im gonna tell you all this before the sarcastic search bastards on here attack you....

Your subs wont have 4000 watts of power.... for all intents and purposes subwoofer wattages mean precisely nothing. What matters now is your amp. Another good thing to know is legacy is cheap....real cheap... as a matter of fact most people will insult you for owning it. I've installed legacy subs and amp... not too bad.... high end legacy(i know, oxymoron) can sound better than low end circuit city-best buy bs. I know, ive done it. So the next question is how much do you wanna spend The JBL crown amp puts out 3000 watts.... and cost $3500(that would fry the legacys tho). Flea markets usually sell a lot of legacy pyle type stuff.... talk them down, they pay a lot less than they mark it. Also check out ebay.... remember tho, you get what you pay for. Most amps that put out a tru 1000 watts cost more than $600... Basically you need to search around some forums and try to learn a little bit about all car audio, try the thirdgen.org forum archives... theyre very helpful.

As far as plexi glass boxes go.... depends what kinda box you want.... again youre gonna need to learn and decide. I know best buy sells a few boxes with plexi, car audio shops will carry/build them for you, or you could always build one for yourself.

Sorry to burst your bubble about bursting your eardrums man

yea, they can sound OK. just go on ebay and buy a junk amp.

i once heard 2 THUMPs(worse than legacy IMO) at a show that sounded decent. hit like 138dB on term pro too.

A JL Audio 500/1 would be decent for you. Are those Legacy subs DVC? I'd say that'd be the only way you'd get decent sound from them is to get a good quality amp and wire it to 2 ohms.

Plexi boxes are hard to come across. You almost have to have it custom made for the application.

I agree witht he above posters. Find a nice 500 watt amp for the pair and you'll be fine. Be careful, though, because even that may be too much for them.
Your subs are not 2000 watts each. That sound slike a MAX number. It is well known in the audio world that the RMS number is the only thing that matters. Anything else is worthless marketing hype.

As far as a plexiglass box, piece of cake. Contact Bobby Gately at www.gatelyaudio.com

Although, from your choice of subs, it sounds like a Gately box might be too expensive. (a few hundred, give or take)

Edit: I just checked his site, and he's got an enclosure for 2 12's for 299. Freakin' sweet! I wish I had 299

They are decent subs, but the materials that they make them with aren't the best. That's why they're so cheap. That 88dB SPL number will be your main problem. The lower that number, the more power your amp has to make up for. That's why people like Audiobahn and JL subs. Their SPL numbers are through the roof. Some of them reach 97. The specs on the sub say 1000 watts RMS, but they're probably more like 500 or so in reality. Like I said, a good 500 watt RMS monoblock amp will push those very well. I've always said that as long as you have a high quality head unit, wiring, amp, and enclosure, you can make ANY sub sound great.

not a good idea... you need to make sure the box has the same specs as the subs. Chances are the box is built for two pretty crappy 12s. Like i said earlier... high end legacy can sound decent.... that looks to be some of their higher end stuff. However, it wont out do JL(or other higher end stuf) in anything but cost. The next thing you gotta understand is wattages mean exactly nothing... Legacy, Pyle, Power acoustik(cough ), they all up the watts. Some companiesactually go lower(precision power), and then some actually tell close to the truth, JL, JBL, etc. I aggree tho... the JL 500.1 is awesome. You can find them on ebay for $400 shipped. I hope this all helps... There's really nothing like haveing people tell you your stuff is crap and Then havin it turn out all right(I run power acoustik! )

on Legacy and that cheap crap you take that number they throw at you and you divide it by 2.

You buy a Legacy Amp that says a whooping 2000 watts at the very most you'd be lucky to get 1000 watts out of it. A down to earth number would be 800 watts.

Ill tell you a little true story on how Legacy and these pawn shop brands rate their subs and amps. If they slap 2000 watts on the amp it really does push out 2000 watts. They have a testing facility they will hook these amps up to 15 (many batteries) and crank that amp up. Eventually it will hit 2000 watts before it blows up and catches fire. The amp did spike 2000 watts (right) for a mili-second right before it caught fire, therefore its not false advertising.

Those subs will take 4000 watts at a split second before the cones blow out of them 6 feet and catch fire.

Here ya go heres a quality 3000 watt amp. US Amps USA-3000. That would be plenty to power those Legacy subs. Just be prepared to spend $1,700 for this amp.

Yea I seen some American Bass amps at World Finals... Seen tons of US Amps too.

I seen a Van there that had 4 18" subs. Not sure of the brand on those but he had 16 US Amps USA-3000 in the back.

At retail cost thats $27,200 in the amps ALONE. He was sponsored though.. Thats also equivalent to 48,000 watts of power. Wazzam !
