I like the side view and the interior. I don't like the Jetta/Corolla tail lights at all, and I'd like the front better if they got rid of the little semi-circle cut out under the headlamps. It doesn't appear to have any other purpose then to look different from what I can see.

If I had to guess, I would think they're trying to mimic the BMW scalloped headlight look.

Not to mention if they didn't include the circles, it would look just like the Audi A6. It shares a strong resemblance with the Audis as it is.

The verdict:

The interior is nice but the seats look terrible with the middle part extending out like that, looks like a cheap seat cover/placemat or something.

The front is sexy.

The sides look ugly (though it may just be the pictures).

The rear looks even uglier.

I don't like it too much.

Vinyl seats hooray! I'm sure that versions priced under $30,000 will be very hard to come by and that the average selling price will be closer to $40,000. I hope VW continues to lose sales because they want to move "upmarket". It looks nice though, but for the anticipated price why wouldn't you go for an A4?

Upmarket and VW don't belong in the same sentence.

The horse bucking in the background is a cool shot.

And as far as I know...The volvo c70 has optional dynaudio speakers. 8in all around. Correct me if im wrong, but that would make the passat #2. Dynaudio is just sick btw.

Yeah really, Audis have them now too.
All the last gen VWs weren't bad, a little bland maybe. Not that I'd buy one, last thing I need is a car less reliable than a GA.

I realized I never posted photos of the new Passat interior. I'm shocked. I think this takes the midsize sedan market to the next level. It's very nice. The quality of the interior is fantastic, the gaps are tight, and the design if amazing. It flows with the exterior. I like it.
