Nice Job Ford

How long did you take to build/design this? Weren't your "best" engineers making the "ultimate" car?

Leave it to Ford, to build a defective car with a $100K + price tag. "Quality Is Job None".

WTF is the point of your post and how does it have one shred of logical, conceivable evidence for this thread at hand?

Thank you for wasting 10 seconds of our time reading your post and thinking on it.

He's probably saying "dont down expensive cars when you yourself drive one." or something like that maybe

Anyways, I'm not THAT surprised that a recall was made...or two for that matter. It is a cheap version of the original GT40. Cheap as in compared to price. At least their recall list isn't as bad as the focus' first was back in the early 00s.

These recalls may garner (either fairly or unfairly) more negative media attention toward Ford for several reasons. First, the GT is supposed to represent Ford's best build and quality efforts - this is Ford's total image product
Now why would that generate negative media attention?! The GT is accurately representing Ford's build quality. Way to go Blue Oval Boys.

I saw a show on the GT seems they kinda rushed the production of this car you cant get quality engineering in a short timeframe. Every manufacturer has its recalls this just gets more attention b/c its a high priced car of course this will receive more press than the crappy gaskets GM uses that constantly fail.

I think its great that they built the car...problems be damned.
Reason being is that I have been a huge vintage racing fan my whole life. I think anytime that an icon is done well....it shows emotion...something that is becoming hard pressed to be found in alot of modern day cars. Heritage is something that makes you are who and what you are today.
Every year I spend the long weekend at the Pebble Beach Concours and the Monterrey Historic Races. To see the vintage Ferraris, Chaparrals, GT-40s Gran Sport Vettes and Bugattis battle it out and to see the pride that the owners have in not only their car's history but the brand as well...and that says alot. The GT means alot more than a cool looking car that happens to be fast. It's the ultimate tribute.
It's the reason that "vintage" stuff is held in such high regard today. Like the new Dukes of Hazzard movie coming out....I mean I HAVE to see it.....I grew up on that stuff!!
Anyway, like I said, I'm just glad the car was resurected at all and it was done well in my opinion. It has even become an american exotic of sorts. Someone has to play with the big boys from Europe.....not like Japan is playing.

Welcome to the world of owning a high performance and expensive car made by a large and responsible company.

Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Carrera GTs, etc., all have their big problems, the only difference is that they can get away with it because it's realized that these cars are pushing an edge and that you're buying a name (image). Ford isn't exactly a brand that comes to mind when I want to buy something for image, so it's fair to say that people expect a little bit more from them for the money they pay. So when they pay $150,000+ for a car, you better damn well believe they expect that there won't be any catastrophic failures, and that's all Ford is trying to cut down on with these recalls.
