Alpine with Kenwood in a close second. I dont personally own one but I want to buy one because their MP3 head units offer a search option when playing MP3's.

I've had alpine, sony, kenwood, pioneer, and jvc. Alpine wins hands down with pioneer in 2nd place and kenwood in dead last, yep I'd buy sony before I got another POS kenwood

No way dude... first of all, imo, at equal price ranges - kenwood, alpine, and pioneer are about equal technically - the difference is cosmetic. they all perform good, easy to use, good features, etc... I've owned or installed just about any brand of head unit, and the only ones I don't like are sony and blaupunkt

Kenwoods are junk. Ive seen MANY of the motorized faces go out among other things.

Alpine is one of the best names out there, whether you buy a entry level unit or the highest priced one on the market, I certainly doubt you would ever have problems with it. Same with Pioneer.

i will take alpine anyday, but the kenwood dvd screen i have in my car now has shown no problems whatsoever and am happy with it. if alpine wouldve had a screen out, i wouldve gone alpine>kenwood.
