my Detroit Auto Show Pics (NAIAS)

Here they are

Still gettin used to the new camera (picked up an olympus c765, 4mp and 10x optical zoom ) and I kept hittin the stupid selector wheel Most of the pics came out pretty good though. We had some bad luck with people always cleanin the cars when we were by them, or retards walkin in front of us but did ok for the most part.

**If any of you photoshoppers want higher res pics, I have them all in 2288x1712 , just ask . I had to resize them so they fit on most peoples' monitors

Yeah I guess you could say we skipped a few areas of non-interest, like Kia, VW, Hyundai But yeah we 4got about the Saleen section up front out in the lobby...plus it was getting later and we just wanted to get back.

Well we came thru the back entrances by the river...

And the Mustang with the slicks was down in the basement...they had a big Ford truck pulling it on a trailer, I think it was just suppose to be race-ready for the display...not sure tho. I don't pay attention to much heh.

Dave, That is the Pauls High Performance car from Jackson.
It probably has alot done to it since I last saw it, but I know it was the 1st 05 in the 12's(something like a 12.3) and I know he has done alot since then

Paul does most of the tuning for Ford on their specialty cars(ie. Cobra, Lightning. GT) If I remember right, Paul got a 2000 cobra R for doing the tuning for Ford.

here is a link to his site

nice pix!

i was there yesterday, i only took like 70 pictures though...i smeared my lens and most of the pic's have horrible glare issues

overall i was really impressed with the GM display...there were some new models (other than GM) that we (my group) were interested in, but we spent the most time at the GM display

the STS/STS-V in person is beautiful, the '05 GTO is still a steal at the price they had listed (started at $32,995 w/manual)...both new Saturn concepts were awesome...and the lady modeling the Saturn Sky was pretty cute too haha

i take back the negative things i said about the new Monte Carlo, and Impala...i really like them after seeing them in person

i wanted to see the new Jag concept, but it wasnt there...and we missed the new Charger...Magnum SRT-8/300C SRT-8 pure hotness! the 300C now has AWD , and it's pretty comfortable

the aluminum Ford GS1 or GSR (whatever) is HOT!

oh and we didnt even go downstairs...people in my group were tired of walking, so we just went home...cant wait for next year!!

Hahah well damn he's a guy and he doesn't know?!?
Where has he been all of his life?!
Duhhhh

I gotta lot of pics too, just haven't uploaded them yet.

The basement is always my favorite part cuz thats where all the "specialty" vehicles are. This year they had the DUB edition vehicles down there, the ASC stuff (GTO, 300C, etc), Honda/Acura "tuner" cars, Suburu Rally cars, Mopar Performance, that Mustang stuff...and much more.

So very true - as is the CTS-V, as are all the new cadillac products. I have the privelage of being involved in the Lansing Area Manufacturing Partnership, a program every morning at the GM Lansing Grand River plant. (I'm a senior in high school, it takes my first two blocks every morning). They make the CTS, CTS-V, STS, and the SRX all at LGR. I'm not sure where they make the STS-V, but I've seen 2 sitting outside parked next to a walk by the plant that I walk by every day. They're friggin sweet.

I'm going to the auto show tommorow and takin my digital camera. If I get any great shots besides what iceman posted, I'll post em.

Thanks for postin all the pics iceman. I'm going with my LAMP class, so now I'll be one up on them on knowing what to expect.
