Its a sad sad day
![]() i gotta give up my 99Grand Am GT. its just toooo small with the 2 kids now. Im not sure im ready to go the mini van direction .. but would I really have much more room by goin up to an Aztek? I have driven both and would probabally be happy with either one in the end. |

equinox
![]() edit: and if you HAD to go for somethin used possibly like an aztek, i would suggest looking at the Rondevouz (spelling??) Its not great, but its def. better lookin than the Aztec, and basically the same thing.

I second Equinox. It's a good looking SUV, especially the tailights.

My mom has an Aztek and loves it. It's actually really versitile and cool. If the thing weren't so damned ugly, I'd be driving one. You should be able to find a nice used one, or even a new one for pretty cheap. I'd say bang for your buck wise, it's Aztek hands down.

How many seats do you need, if its 5 go for the Equinox, if its 7 then you should get a van, however GM's vans aren't that great compared to Chryslers, Toyotas, or Hondas.

Here's the thing......Equinox is a WAY "cooler" car, no question
BUT If you've seen what kind of prices you can get slightly used Azteks for....from just off dealer auctions AND GM program cars(5-10K only one them).......you'd actually consider one. My father, who owns a dealership, has been seeing 03's with plenty of options go for like $10 grand or some crazy low amount. He was considering picking one up for me cause they can be had for HUGELY cheap prices if you got auction hookups. I dont fancy the look of them but for a great deal, Ill just tint the windows/ CHRIS

Honda Odessy, starts at 25 grand, and you won't lose any real power or speed. Tons of room. Great resale, great saftey, great reliability. If you are a person that feels obligated to buy American then the Saturn Vue might be a good option. Not as roomy as an Oddesy, but it is about the same size as an Eqiunox, AND 250HP with the V6 model, you will actually GAIN acceleration over your Grand Am. So... 1. Odd I See or 2. The View of Saturn.

My sister has a Honda Oddessy. Nice van, decent power and has a DVD player and screen for the kiddies. That would be my choice over the Aztech and the Equinox.

honestly if i did buy a minivan it would probabally be the Dodge Caravan or a Chevy Venture.
i would LOVE an equinox but its not in the budget right now. we're looking to buy something a lil older ... well ... 2001 i guess. i wasnt too keen on this Aztek at first but once i seen it i kinda like it. Its black with dark tinted windows actually looks pretty good and it LOADED as can be. |
