It deflects air up into the radiator and A/C condensor. Some will say it's okay to remove, but GM would not have put it there if it was unnecessary.

Holy cow that is expensive. I live in Canada and I got mine for 250 CDN. (Intrax) Sprint are even cheaper.

And yes, you'll scrape it, I do it all the time, its still there. (Well, except that peice that the snowbank took) But its flexible.

$507.00 canadian = $411.32 US
$250.00 canadion = $202.82 US

Thats cheaper than I thought it would be for the parts. About how much is it to install? Or is the install pretty easy if I were to do it myself?

that is your air dam, it is actually made to deflect air down and reduce underbody drag, therefore improving gas mileage. you can remove it if you want to

That's what I thought it was.

My dealer didn't know exactly what it's funtion was, but said it wouldn't hurt anything if you removed it.

Mine was stolen, or broken off, or something. Haven't had it in over a year. Too expensive to replace.

The piece I was looking for was like $30 or something. I don't know if that's just for the center piece, or if that came with the sides too.
