so is ther a SET day and time yet? i know there were some poeple working their a**es off to get this goin, and i was wonderin if they came up with anything official?

working on it.. I promise I will get some new info out shortly.. so far first week of June is the winner for the weekend it will be, in chicago, track time saturday at Byron.

I've actually not been to any of the GA ones, but I've heard a lot. I'm pumped for this, I don't care what condition my car is in at the time. It's going to be there. Thanks again for setting this stuff up!

Thanks for the vote of confidence all. I really am trying to get this straight, I know it is more then 2 months away but this week I should have some more definite answers. So far we know it will be the first weekend in June 3-5th and the track time will be at Byron on Saturday (Rockford IL area) and the hotel will most likely be around the Schaumburg area, since that is pretty central to lots of activities (bars/restaurants/shopping) and they have some nice forest preserves over there for a picnic on Sunday if people are still interested in that. Or we could do it Friday. It is hard to plan but knowing there is a good amount of interest keeps me going on this! So... THANKS!!!

Yea for sure. I was talking to some guys from Iowa about meeting up with them, but if we have enough MN people, we could just have us go. Know of anyone else that would come? I might bring someone along in my car just for fun. I'll probably have the slowest car there, but I'll run it anyways just so I have a time!

and of course you have to bring your car!! we should try and get some more mn people so we can have a parade the whole way down.

edit: what's this about a hotel?

I hope to have new springs and the tint installed by then, at the least. It's hard to make money for the car when you're in school. I don't know of anyone off hand, I know fire_beast goes to school with me, haven't talked to him about it. There's also a guy from Rosemount with a Alero I remember seeing a little bit ago. I'll keep my eye out.

I got some other stuff planned too, should be happening soon. it is hard to make money while going to school. I'm pretty fortunate though, I make a decent wage and good hours. plus this week is spring break, and instead of traveling and spending more money, i'm staying at home and working on the car, and putting some extra hours in so i can put some more money into the car.

For MN people, most likely I will be only one from Iowa. There might be one from MO, but I dunno. If you guys don't want to drive down, that's fine as well. Hell I would drive up to MN to see one of my buddies. Let me know.

Yun, I'd be up for meeting up with you. I know we somewhat discussed this before. It'll be easier to tell when we get closer to the date, and know exactly who's going and what-not, but if nothing else, we could meet in between where us MN people are and where you are and go for there.
I'm not too familar with running at the track- does it cost money for each run, or what? How much? I have to decide if it's worth it.
