Freshly Zaino'd!

Hey Guys Just Freshly Zaino'd! These Are The Steps I Used And Here Are A Few Pictures Enjoy! Oh And My New Calips And Rotors Are On Too!

1) Wash Car With Dawn Dish Soap to remove wax, to wash the car you know wet it down wash it etc...BUT leave wet!

2) Buy a Mothers Clay Bar package...got mine at meijer for like 20 bucks comes with cleaner and clay bar, and sample carabuna base wax

3) Spray clay bar cleaner on area about to clay bar, then go back and forth with the clay bar youll hear a cratching noise then once the scratching noise is gone you will know its smooth youll know what I mean while you are doing it

4) Now your car prolly looks like **** with this cleaner and clay bar residue.....wash your car with car wash soap, I concentrated it pretty heavy, then dry car, and apply carabuna base wax, with buffer, then remove with polishing cloth

5) Now your cars lookin good, Next I applied Zaino Z2....I'm pretty sure it was Z2 its like pink, apply on car with buffer with new pad of course, after thats all buffed in, remove with another...new polishing cloth now your car looks and feels like glass shouldnt feel any paint imperfections or see any in the car at any angle or any spot

6) Apply RainX to all the windows and never use wipers again! Enjoy! Any Questions Just Ask!

You applied wax before Z2? How's Z2 supposed to bond with the paint? I know people sometimes apply a quality wax, like P21S, after Zaino or some other sealant like Klasse AIO or Blackfire, but never before a sealant.

You have to use Z1 polish lok before you put down Z2 or you can use ZFX and mix it with the Z2. You have to use one or the other or your wax is going to wear off in a week not to mention the results are going to suck.

You use a claybar when the car is wet (I do it when there is soap on the car as well for lubrication otherwise your going to **** up your paint) and you shouldnt hear scratching noises..... Scratching noises on your paint = bad.

OMFG Sorry Mr. Know It All BAHAHAH OK So goes like this, you use the lubricant stuff while you clay bar while your car is wet id never directly use a claybar on a dry car, ok then next, I was told by the guy on the phone at Zaino when i ordered all my ****, to use a carabuna base wax then try this Z2 stuff so I'm like ok so thats what I did, and the scratching noise is the claybar working all the crap from winter out of your car like salt and all that stuff, then it stops "scratching" and its smooth....the claybars done its job, well just look at the results very quality so I've got no complaints

looks good. Do you have the vinyl from grafxwerks to cover up your door chrome? If so, was it easy to put on? I may consider doing that....

Few things I've noticed over the years of using claybar, and zaino.

Never leave the car wet when you are using the claybar. Dry it off first. Then, when you are ready to claybar, use a lubricant and spray the area you are going to work with. If you have the car sopping wet the claybar gets really moist and feels like silly putty. This is bad. Why ? Because it is too soft to pick up any of the grime in the paint.

As for applying wax before Zaino... Whomever you talked to is full of sh!t. Did you call ZAINO themselves or did you call one of the online distributors? Why do you think Sal recommends using dawn dish soap to remove the previous wax first?!?!?! If zaino was meant to be applied over wax they wouldn't recommend stripping the old wax off first...

If you don't believe me, write an E-MAIL to SAL ZAINO (you can get the e-mail off the zainobros.com site). He always responds, and if what you said is true, I'm sure he'll fire that dumb SOB.

EDIT: Application Instructions..

i agree with everyone here
you have to use the Z1 polish LOK before applying the zaino wax.
Why would you use wax on wax?
Anyway, sorry to repeat what everyone said but you are wrong brotha!

ps. on a side note, your car looks clean regardless!

Your not so smart on this either. The scratching "feeling" is the feeling of the crap thats in your paint coming off. This litterlaly leaves your paint (clear coat) completely clean. This also means their is no protectant after your done. After your done wash and dry the car AGAIN. Then add a wax of your choice. I preffer to clay bar, mequires scratch X then Zymol. I claybar and scratch X it after winter ONLY. After that its only wash dry and Zymol every 2 weeks.

WATER IS NOT A LUBRICANT NOR IS ANY SOAP OF ANY KIND!

Scratch X didn't do sh!t for me, but it did add a few marks of it's own. I guess if you make an X pattern the thing will do as the name says.

Basicly.
Keep in mind that this process will take you 6-9 hours. Its an entire days work. Be picky as possible and take your time. Make sure you follow the instructions on the clay bar kit and do exactly what it says.
I did this last saturday. First i washed the car and dried it. Pulled it into the garage. Clay barred the whole car taking my time. Backed it out of the garage and rewashed it and dried it. Pulled it back into the garage. Applied Mequirs Scratch X to the whole car doing one body section at a time. I then did the same with the wax, i use Zymol.
The car feels and looks like glass.

P.S. Use Scratch X only once a year.

Just a wash and dry and wax is about 4-5 hours. I wash it and dry it every week and wash dry and wax every 2 weeks.
