thats a pretty bold prediction considering they have not had a winning record in 10 years they will at least contend in the weak al central though

really not that big of an accomplishment....the only record he reached was that the 3 homers were done on an opening day

i say by mid may...people will say "what happened to him" ..."remember him on opening day!"

seemings how they boosted their team over the past couple of seasons some might "think" they are going to make the playoffs, The twins and royals will finish ahead of them, yet again

um...the royals???? the twins yes but not the royals. last year the tigers blew 29 saves, most in the league. if they had saved 75% of those games they would have won the division. their bullpen is greatly improved this year, so expect them to do much better as long as their defense and starting pitching hold up

Royals wouldn't finish ahead of a team assembled here at GAGT
Tigers will contend this year in the weak AL Central. Not sure if they'll win it or not - but they'll be in it at the end of the year along with the Twins and either the Indians/White Sox. That division should be one of the closer ones and go down to the last couple weeks.
Management is finally making the Tigers a decent team again.

1. white sox
2. twins
3. indians
4. tigers
5. royals

It will be a good race for the top 4 teams, but unfortunatly the royals suck so bad they cant compete. The division is hardly weak anymore, unless your comparing it to the AL East but all divisions are weak compared to them.

Actually, the division is weak in respect to the fact that the winner of that division will more than likely in the first round of the playoffs where as the AL West winner could easily take out the AL East winner and vise versa. In the NL any of the division winners and wildcard for that matter could make it to the world series.

All Star game is @ CoPa. Now if only the Lions could have a great draft and get lucky as hell to play in the Super Bowl. That'd be insane, Lions playing in the Super Bowl held at none other than Ford Field

The AL Central was the most active division this offseason of any, so I dont see how they can be discounted so easy. Watch and see, the AL West is even, but as we all know nothing matches AL East.

They may have been the most active but the biggest name free agent that was picked up was Maggs and we all know his health issues. The one team that could possibly challenge the rest of the AL is the Twins but realistically if their catcher doesn't play a full season Joe Mauer (I think thats his name), then forget about them.
