Acceleration problems

Here is how my engine bahaves during acclearation. The RPM would go up, stop, go up, stop, and so forth. It's more apparent during WOT. What do you guys think? TCC? TPS?

Sounds like when I had clogged injectors... but could be any number of fuel delivery / ignition issue. Start with the obvious.. how many miles, what kinda of maintenance done, what kind of plugs, any SES ??

68000 miles. Fuel injectors cleaned at around 45000 I believe.
No SES, I have NGK plugs and Taylor wires that I put in at around 40000.

Ditch the taylor wires and NGK plugs IMO. Taylor wires = misfire city for me, very similar to the clogged injectors I've had, similar to what you are describing. Injectors can clog within a short time too unfortunately

I thought misfire will always throw SES light? So do you suggest going back to stock wires and plugs?

A slight misfire will not always, it did not in my case and others that had problems w/ taylors.

You have to start eliminating things.. This kind of issue is what I had and others have had.. No SES, slight misfire. For some it's the wires, some it's the coil packs, some it's the injectors / fuel delivery, etc.. you get my point. As with any repair, you eliminate things one by one to isolate the problem. Easy things to start with are wires, yeah. Then move from there. Or just take it by a mechanic and let them fix it if you're not comfortable with it

Replaced my plugs in the GT, not that there was anything wrong with them, just wanted something a little more performant, so, installed Bosch Platinum quad fire. The engine ended up misfiring on all 6, reinstalled the original plugs, problem solved.

First thought that came into my mind is along the fuel delivery problem route. Try replacing the fuel filter (assuming there is one on these cars).

I just have CAI and SLP exhaust for performance. I also have NGK plugs and Taylor wires. They might be misfiring.

unfortunately, not at this time, with my two sons playing hockey, guitar, etc. not much time or money to modify anything. Mods are a definate but until I get my hands on a second car or truck, it kind of S&%*k's to have a nice rig and drive it in 5 feet of snow.

I just got my fuel injectors cleaned and the problem is still there. At least one thing is eliminated. Please tell me our stock cat is supposed to last more than 70000 miles.

You might help your mileage out a bit. Why not get a high flow replacement??

I do not have stock wires, but I think I will pick up a new set and put them in. That will be the next step.
