2000 3.8 Mustang *updated see post #35*

I don't post here a lot, but I used to own a 2000 Grand Am GT. I posted in a few threads here learning more about Grand Ams.

I currently own a Mustang and it's listed for sale. I figured I'd post that info here and see if anybody is interested. You never know!

I've had it in autotrader for about a month with good exposure. I get about 2-3 calls a week, so I know there is at least some interest in it out there.

Here's the setup:
2000 3.8
  • ~60k miles / 12k supercharged (8k Procharger & 4k Vortec)
  • Lazer Red (E9)
  • 5 speed
  • steeda springs
  • steeda short throw shifter
  • 17x9 chrome cobra r rims w/ generic tires
  • chrome bumper inserts
  • 20% tint
  • 35th anniversery gauge bezel (silver)
  • brushed silver shift knob
  • silver painted interior pieces (doors, mustang lettering, pony emblem)
  • aluminum driveshaft
  • flowmaster cat back exhaust w/ GT takeoff mufflers
  • 11 psi procharger kit w/ 8k miles on the blower
  • Automer a pillar w/ carbon fiber Vac/Boost, Water Temp gauge
  • stock procharger blow off valve (non-recirculating)
  • 80mm lightning MAF
  • ~300lph focus pump
  • 42# (actually 39#) cobra injectors
  • SCT chip and tuned by fordpartsnetwork.com
  • no wrecks, clean title
  • Runs perfectly, no issues or soon to come issues that I see
  • will include all stock parts
  • over 300 rwhp and rwtq
  • Haven't taken it to the track, but similar set-ups run 13.5-14.1 typically
  • Asking $9,299 - willing to negotiate

Yeah, I've never been a really big Mustang fan, but you have a very clean, nice looking ride. Someone will be very happy with it for that price...

Good to see people doing serious stuff to the V6 models. Proves they aren't only for high school girls. Very nice!

Yeah, it's pretty amazing. "we" have a few in the 10s and several in the 11s on the quarter. That was one of the discussions I had on here was that it was a shame there was not as much aftermarket support for the GrandAm GT as there is for the mustang. We can use most all GT/Cobra parts, so that's the only reason we can really build a v6 strong.

Here's a vid of the most current track get-together we had. It's rather large (40MB)

That was a v6. A very built v6. Only v6's in that video thus the "V6 Challenge" title.

If you have enough credit to get a home, you should have no problems borrowing 9.2k. In fact, if you JUST got the mortgage, it probably won't even appear on your credit report for several weeks if not months.

If you're serious about it, PM me and we'll exchange phone numbers and talk about it.

I'm not willing to finance it or "tote the note" myself.

I'd recommend going to lendingtree.com. You won't even have to step into a bank at all to get a loan for a car. It's SO easy now-a-days.

If you want to hear the BOV sound, watch night1 video. It's not the most clear, but you can hear it.

Will bump the thread a few times.

Probably have it for sale about 1 month, then I'm going to part it out and either drive it stock till it dies or trade it in.
